Excellent service, good choice of meals or snacks. Located in a corner of the Connaught Gardens with a number of tables outside as well as indoor seating.

Connaught Gardens themselves are a small but appealling walled garden on the cliff edge west of Sidmouth. They are very well maintained and worth a look if you are in Sidmouth. The Clock Tower cafe is an intimate gem of a find. We sat in the conservatory looking over the garden and the sun made it very pleasant on a... More

A favourite haunt in Sidmouth, overlooking the sea and beach: spectacular any time of year, but especially in winter with the waves crashing below. The cakes are simply enormous, and the coffee is excellent. There's pleasant seating both inside and out, and a good atmosphere. I only have one minor gripe: the staff need to SMILE more!

Always a must on our way to Dartmoor, this restaurant sits on top of Jacob's Ladder, offering wonderful views and the biggest and best cakes and cream teas anywhere. Sandwiches are good as well but so hard not to have a huge slice of coffee and walnut cake or a scone or 2!!

We visited the Clock Tower Tearooms during our recent visit to Sidmouth, the coffee was excellent, although we didn't eat there the choice was very good, it was hard to resist the lovely cake. The surrounding gardens were beautiful.

Came here for afternoon tea! Delighted to see they sold honeybuns(gluten free cakes) so purchased one to have with my pot of tea! The vista from upstairs seated area was phenomenal, too- looking out to the sea! Looked at the menu- disappointing for a coeliac as all could eat was jacket potato from that so was glad just came there... More

Superb location and try to get seated upstairs with the sea views. Lovely home made cakes. Larger portions so you could share coffees and a cake. Most enjoyable. Regards Gary Saunders

You cannot come to Sidmouth and not visit the Connaught Gardens where this restaurant is situate. Its beautiful in the summer sitting outside, admiring the gardens and looking down on the sea. In winter its cosy inside the conservatory. The cakes are really scrumptious and the portions are "big". I have never had a meal here, but the food looks... More

The Clock Tower has one of the best locations in the area, and as such will always be busy, but the prices do reflect this. We have stopped here many times, due to the views, but dont expect to get a bargain.

Had a light lunch here (fish cake and salad) served by friendly and efficient staff. Very good quality. Views of Sidmouth Bay are excellent. Nice spot for a bite to eat.
