We always visit the Clock tower Tea Rooms when we visit Sidmouth. The homemade cakes are excellent, moist and portions are extremely generous. Food quality of main meals and generous portions of those too encourage visitors to return time and again. Location has fine views of cliffs and sea depending on seating chosen.

Been here a few times and would definitely go back. Situated in a brilliant location overlooking the ocean and it has a really nice garden. The cream tea is amazing and from what other people I've been with have said all the other cakes are great as well. The only reason I've not given this place a 5 star rating... More

Always worth a visit when in Sidmouth. Lovely views if the sea as you eat the great food they cook. Get a seat upstairs for the best views. Sea very rough when we visited and great to watch as we ate wonderful homemade cakes.

Really good sandwiches - try the crab if available. Helpful staff and good outside seating although busy in summer

Stopped for lunch and it was great. The selection, presentation and service was perfect. The cakes were excellant and the lunch menu for hot food looked great. Their Christmas menu looks exciting and must try and fit it in my diary.

I had been here before for cake and tea but never eaten a lunch meal - although what others had looked very good. I thought this would be a great place to take my aunty as it had a seaview (we selected a table next to a window - upstairs). We all enjoyed our dinners and the service was extremely... More

Gorgeous setting, beautiful gardens and cakes to die for! Best on a dry day as indoor seating is limited.

Had a local not mentioned this to us, we would not have known it existed, as it is set above it's own little quiet bay, with Jacobs Ladder leading onto it, but, thankfully, you can approach the café by road. When we arrived, there was a poetry group underway, outside, in the courtyard. There are beautiful gardens to visit and... More

If you visit the lovely Connaught Gardens and have afternoon tea in the Clock Tower Tearooms (sitting in the conservatory or outside in the sunshine) make sure you have a good appetite as the homemade cakes are not only delicious but enormous too.
