Claude kindly gave us a cooking lesson in the purpose built kitchen at the back of tummies. He wowed us with great food, tips, wine and entertainment. The atmosphere was lovely and our group had great fun. I would recommend it to anyone. I'll be back.

Established in 1988, Tummies has grown considerably over the years and now encompasses not only the popular Restaurant, but also the Bar, Cookery School, Chef's Table and a number of versatile Function rooms (for private and business events).
Privately owned and operated to this day by Claude Mariaux, his passion remains the same: to serve serious, unpretentious food with great personal service in a cosy and comfortable setting. All the food is cooked to order using the best quality and freshest ingredients, and the Restaurant Menu comprises some of the good old favourites, such as "Fillets of Pork in a creamy mustard sauce", "Steak, Mushroom & Guinness Pie, Butter Mash - not forgetting the dram of Sherry!". Vegetarians and Guests with Special requests are always well looked after and nothing is too much to ask for at this friendly local! Homemade Sandwiches and Salads can be taken away or eaten in and don't miss the exceptional cooked Breakfast (Served 7 days a week).

The Cookery School is at the back with numerous courses on offer for either a beginner or an accomplished cook. These make the perfect gift for both the Gents and the Ladies! And if all of this is not enough The Chef's Table is a must for a really special celebration! Sit around the beautiful Maple Table, where the cooker is in-set and your own chef will prepare and cook a bespoke Lunch or Dinner for you and your guests right in front of you.
