Great local curry house

We have eaten here with friends a few times, and this last time enjoyed it even better. They only really do two booking times- 7.00pm and 9.00pm although people wander in- but it always seems crowded. You can bring your own drink- and no corkage, so we find it very affordable. Food is freshly made... read more

We were rather disappointed with the food after all the recommendations from 'Tripadvisor'. It was very expensive and the Madras had a sour taste. Tikka Masala was a bit on the sweet side which became rather sickly after a while. Although I do have to give credit to them since the dishes had minimal oil and the poppadoms were perfect.... More

If we want a good Indian meal would usually go to 'Curry Mile' in Rusholme Manchester but were persuaded by friends to try the Mhariam, which isn't far from our house. We weren't disappointed, the service was first class and friendly, the food was excellent with a few dishes that were different from the usual. You could see the food... More

I called in this evening on spec and had one of the nicest Indian meals I've ever had. My daughter had tandoori chicken and she really enjoyed her meal too. My only quibble was the toilets weren't particularly pleasant and they also the fact that they only took cash not card. Would definitely visit again.

We had planned on having a family meal at a nearby carvery on Boxing Day 2013, but failure to reserve a table meant we had to find a plan B restaurant! I wasn't sure about eating here as it doesn't look much from the outside BUT it was a great touch of fate..... The staff were friendly and polite, they... More

So many people have recommended this place that I was worried that it wouldn't live up to expectations. I was wrong - the food is superb. I don't particularly like the blue hue or the bare decoration but it's the food that counts. Both the Rasthani and Balti main courses were superb. Proper thin naan bread and nice to find... More

This small Indian takeaway /restaurant in Timperley is the best one I have eaten in for many years. The food is freshly cooked & delicious, not oily at all. The service & rapport of the staff with the customer excellent. The prices are very reasonable & added to the value is the fact you can take your own drinks &... More

I was visiting a friend last weekend and as it was my birthday, we decided to eat out. My friend suggested an Indian meal and took us to the Mhariam Indian Restaurant in Timperley. The restaurant is small, busy and nicely decorated and boasts an open kitchen. The proud owner is unobtrusively polite and quite humourous - keen to please.... More
