Frequently visited here but now it's gone for good. Shame. Going to re-open as Neighbourhood which I think is some sort of New York style place. This was the best Chinese in South Manchester and will be sorely missed. There's still one in Knutsford though. At least Dee Thai over the road is still going!

Have been going tot his restaurant for many years in fact since it opened and to date it has been fantastic. However, went early doors last night with some friends, restaurant was reasonably busy but not full by any means, we were seated at a pretty poor table and felt RUSHED - staff dashing about and not the usual friendly... Yes an odd title but this is also a plea! I have always had good service at Manzen; yes it is a little pricey but there is a good choice of vegetarian starters and main courses, and after all this is Hale so you do pay a premium. I last visited on Friday 24th January with my best friend after... More

My friend and I had a midweek dinner here last week. The food was tasty but be warned that each main dish is enough for two particularly if you have a starter. Our crispy duck starter was yummy. I had king prawn kung po which was good too . Friendly service and we were not rushed out of the restaurant... More

Shared a delightful supper with my brother. He rated the ribs as second only to Kam Fung on Red Lion Street London (my favourite Chinese restaurant). The special fried rice and the duck and pork dishes were divine.

The restaurant was packed on a Saturday night. We had booked in advance so were seated immediately, and drinks and the first course arrived promptly. After that, there was a long wait for the main course and we had to enquire about progress twice. The food, when it arrived, was good, but one dish was almost cold and had to... More

Been here lots of times, but after last night I think it will be the last. The staff rush around, your food is virtually thrown at you, and they never seem to get the drinks order right. Not one single smile or being at all pleasant with you, and God forbid if you stay to long the table cloth is... More

food was ok. standard chinese, higher than normal prices. however the entertainment is provided by presumably the owner. she rushes around sweeping any empty plate away as the last mouthful is still on your fork/chop stick. Is very exhausting, really was terrified to eat. Staff also looked terrified. only the once, not again.

I have visited this restaurant a few times over the years and would always rate it as average.Recently I had a bad experience dining early one evening with a friend. The dim sum platter was fine. One of the main courses a sizzling beef dish was really not good. It was tasteless. I called the waiter over who said he... More

Brilliant food. I would go as far to say this is probably the best Chinese restaurant in the area. Bit pricey but well worth a visit.
