We stayed in Ballater for 2 nights at a different hotel but decided to 'push the boat out' and eat here as it was a special occasion - we were not to be disappointed! All the staff were friendly, helpful and attentive throughout and made us feel right at home from the moment we arrived, soaking wet from walking in... More

There was nothing I disliked. I had seared scallops followed by roasted guinea-fowl roasted in honey.

Four of us for lunch last Friday and overall service poor and unhelpful. Two bottles of expensive Champagne spoiled by overcooked Tempura battered prawns (you can only have 4 for £6:75 or 6 for £7:95... I asked for 8 as a main course and was told impolitely that or 4 or 6 were available and 8 would cost £13:50... couldn't... More

As a local family who eat out frequently the food and service here is outstanding. Wish it was a tad cheaper so we could eat here more often. Would recommend this to anyone. Wonderful food.

Service was good. We had parsnip and hazelnut soup, salmon, and sticky toffee pudding. All were delicious.

Four of us enjoyed dinner at the Glen Lui recently. The overall atmosphere is couthie, whilst the Scottish food was very good. The service was excellent and all for a reasonable price.

We enjoyed first class fare and service while enjoying a view towards the golf course and the Dee River. Fellow diners were a group of... More
