Great Food

Return visit to Rafiks. The food is excellent. Try the Chef's signature dishes expecially lamb ! Was quiet for a Saturday night in August which I don't understand as this place is light years ahead of most bog standard indian restaurants.

I love this place for a sit in meal but was very disappointed with last night's takeaway. The onion bhaji was soggy, the na an bread tiny and the chicken tikka chasni was very bitter. It was as if a bottle of malt vinegar had been poured into the mix. It rather seems that takeaway customers are treated differently to... More

This restaurant was recommended by the guest house we stayed in and I cannot thank them enough. Four of us rang up and booked a table for the same evening ,the staff were friendly and polite, they even gave us pointers on where to go in the area and made us feel welcome. I wanted to try something different and hadn't... More

Stopped for a curry on 5th August 2015. My brother and I were the only ones in at 9pm on a Wednesday night. We ordered two cobra beers but on tasting it was apparent that something was not right as there was a funny smell and the beer did not taste good. When we advised the staff they said we... More

We went to this restaurant because we were walking past and we nearly missed it. The food was different and freshly cooked and the flavours were amazing. We were served by the chefs sister and it felt as though we had gone to dinner with a friend. There was no hurry but everyone was attentive. It was such a amazing... More

We went with a large group for a birthday meal and although the service was quick I found staff to not be the friendliest. The food was very tasty but the portions were rather small and it was a bit expensive, in fact for two of us it came to around £65-70 for poppadoms, onion bhaji each 1 rice 1... More

Visited on a Monday evening - it was very quiet with only two other diners. It is quite expensive for this part of the country but to be fair it is a class above your average Indian restaurant. Crispy poppadoms with excellent dips, superb King Prawn with puree and a good Chicken Shaslick. Nan bread also spot on. They do... More

Have been to this restaurant 3 times, the first two times the food was good, our 3rd occassion we chose for our 19th wedding anniversary on Monday the 18th may, not sure if it was because it was so quiet for a Monday that we felt the service was so bad or we were more a pain being there as... Went on a Thursday evening with a group of friends. Service was attentive and professional. The food was lovely, with some more unusual dishes on the menu. Very tasty, well served and relaxed comfortable surroundings. Thank you.

Normally a bit fussy about meal portions and restaurant prices, but was not disappointed by the price or the sizes, Enough food to fill even an American up at almost take away prices, and good enough service to keep fussy Le Skunk Southerners pleased. brilliant service, no more than expected wait time for even the large group i was with,...
