Welcome to the Toby Carvery Carlisle. When it comes to roast dinners, we really know our stuff. Every day our chefs lay on a feast of tender, hand-carved meats with all the trimmings – including towering Yorkshire puds, golden roasties with all those lovely little crunchy bits, and plenty of freshly prepared veg, all crowned with proper gravy. So it's no wonder we're Cumbria’s favourite carvery restaurant. Drop by and you'll find lots more on offer, including cooked breakfasts and tasty specials.

Good value!

Conveniently situated just off M6 Junction 43 ideal for a break if your Scotland bound. You "get what you pay for". A help yourself carvery with plenty of choice veg etc. Always busy- which must be a good sign! Sweets are extra but good portions, reasonably priced compared to motorway tariffs... read more

....Especially if you are vegetarian then body swerve this place. From the long long wait to the dirty floor and unclean tables, to crusty knives, this has been my worst establishment this year. To getting our starters wrong, making us wait an hour for our main, to having the starter uncooked it just went from bad to worse. Waitress wrote... More

Tried the carvery again after a very disappointing meal last time, wish we hadn't bothered. Massive queues, waited ages for food at counter, then had the most miserable chef growl at us about what we wanted. I paid extra for king size, looked more like a kids portion. Chef hacked meat off with blunt knife , not sliced just tiny... More

We arrived late on a Saturday afternoon and the previous meet & greet point appeared to have been take away so we wandered slowly towards the dining area. Suddenly from a door to side of the bar entered a female staff member who we smiled at expecting to be greeted. Quite the contrary - this miserable faced lady shouted out... More
