Lovely

Went in on Saturday at about 10 to 12. Got seated straight away downstairs, but there was queues to get seated just after we went in. This was my first time eating here and I wondered why anyone would queue for fish and chips, however on tasting the freshly cooked fish and chips I can see why. Got... read more

As always, the portions were good and the fish was delicious! Excellent service and taste. Never stayed in for lunch but always prefer eat for F&C takeaway. Guaranteed outcome.

The young lady with the big smile on the takeaway counter needs to read this. I watch you serve the other day (Thursday) and was taken back with the approach you had towards every customer that you visited your shop, fantastic smile, great personality and nothing was too much for you, young or old everyone got the same treatment. I... More

Fantastic freshly cooked fish and chips, lovely crispy batter and perfect chips. The waitress was an absolute delight, clean plates all round. Be back soon.

This is far better than any average chip shop. They not only serve very quickly but the food consistency of quality is a constant. Fabulous place with fresh fish, chips and mushy peas - bring on Friday

This was our 4th visit and we were very disappointed to have been served small portions of the haddock and certainly not up to the usual lovely large piece one normally gets. Did note however that some folks portions seemed very reasonable, must have just been our unlucky day. Will give it one more chance though!

The greeting, the service, the food the attention to detail, all excellent. If you only have one fish supper in Carlisle, come here.

We lunched here on the 26th, a party of 7 including our grand-daughter resplendent in her graduation robes. We hadn't booked and the young man who attended to us quickly arranged for us all to sit together. Six of us had fish and one had scampi which he proclaimed to be the nicest he had ever eaten. The fish and... More

We came here on Saturday afternoon and it was really busy. There was only one table left upstairs and it had dirty crockery on but this was cleared as soon as we sat down. We both ordered battered sausage, chips and curry sauce and a drink. The food arrived quickly and was piping hot. The food was obviously freshly cooked.... More
