fish and chips at its best

I often go here as the battered fish and chips special is so good, with a large side salad and drink of your choice for £8.50, they even have a pensioners one for less. The fish is a nice thick fillet, and usually is longer than the plate! They are not shy with the chips either, you get a large... read more

The best fish & chips! Large & delicious meals. Staff are very friendly & helpful when eating in, not so much for takeaway though. Overall a good experience & we went there a few times during our holiday.

Don't think anyone in town does it better, if you want the best fish and chips in Carlisle, booom, it's here, no doubt, no buts, cafe style and that's what we want, tea and slice of bread and butter!! Hard to beat.

The chips were cold and it is very over priced not worth the hassle if you ask me, looks nice on the outside but the inside is different

The smell that comes from this shop has the effect of some kind of Disney film when someone leaves a pie on a window ledge and the smell snakes over into a passerbys nostrils and pulls them in. I regularly walk by and have drool dropping out of my mouth like a hungry Labrador. The service is friendly and quick... More

Everything is good, staff always obliging with the salt shaker from the take away counter, have been upstairs, downstairs with family and friends, always cooked to perfection, always like to leave an empty plate, highly recomended if you want the best chippy tea

Friendly greeting on arrival and departure. Ordered fish and chips and pot of tea for 2. The tea was brought immediately and was a good cuppa. Didn't wait long for our freshly cooked fish and chips which were so delicious. Don't know when I have enjoyed fish and chips as much as I did today. Would recommend to all to... More

Best chips I've had in years, can also recommend the steak pie and gravy. Price maybe not as competitive as some pub chain deals but the quality of the food is worth every penny.
