Any time I go to Colchester town I always pop into this place. It's got great food for a great price. Staff are always friendly, and the notice board of what happened on this day is always a nice little read. Would definitely recommend this.

Popped in for some lunch whilst travelling on business. Really friendly and helpful staff - they even let me charge my phone. Tasty home made food at very reasonable prices.

Went to timbers this morning. I have egg, milk and soy allergies. They bent over backwards to help even going so far as popping next door to get some bread I could have. The food was delicious and I wasn't made to feel embarrassed or like I was a burden at all. Wonderful food, wonderful service. Thank you Timbers!

Visited with family, and once again ,food was excellent, everyone cleared their plates, which does not happen very often.Hunters Chicken,Firecracker Wrap and various omlettes were all first class, also great service from staff, none of which we had seen before. So full marks once again for excellent service and food, not to mention that it is really good value for money.A MUST TO TRY.

I have eaten here a few times now, with each time being well worthwhile. The food is reasonably priced and is plated up in perfect portion sizes. There is a homemade feel to the dishes. I have been for breakfast here and that was delicious. From the 2 times I've been here for lunch, I really enjoyed the lamb shank... More

Visited Timbers having read the reviews on Trip Advisor and wasn't disappointed. We went mid-afternoon on a weekday and there were plenty of tables available but there was a steady flow of customers whilst we were there. There is a large menu to choose from to suit all tastes. Had a main course and a dessert and the food was... More

My family and I eat here about once a month. The staff are extremely friendly and food is good value for money. You sometimes need to wait a little for food but this is acceptable when it us busy; and it's well worth the wait!

It's difficult to know where to start with this place. My girlfriend and I would often walk past it and quickly gaze in the window and say 'we should go there sometime'. This happened many times until finally we thought we'd go there for breakfast. Our only regret is that we didn't go there sooner. When you're bored of all... More

I love Timbers, I visit here regularly. The food is always excellent and I have no complaints whatsoever about the menu variety, the prices., the generous portion sizes. The staff are always friendly no matter how busy they are. My daughter and I visit here regularly, I have probably had almost everything on the menu - including deserts. But today... More

hi Christine J! Firstly, Thank you as always for visiting timbers and of course for your valued comments. One of the main benefits of trip advisor to us as proprietors of a food business is to read and act upon feedback from customers. That is why we take and read and reply to all reviews. We have spent time considering... More
