Strangely out of place, but well worth a try

Called here with business colleagues on a recommendation from head office. Set on the main road into the centre, you could be forgiven for missing the place, as it is set in some 18th Century (ish) row of small cottage type (listed?) buildings. Once inside, they have created some sort of... read more

Came back from Bangkok 2 weeks ago and saw on the website "Relive Thai Food" total disappoint 2 adults and an 8 year old £91 and it didn't even taste like Thai food. Plus the Thai waitress didn't know the menu, almost embarrassing so disappointed not a hint of lemon grass or lime leaves. Try somewhere else

Went here on a Saturday night. The four of us had a variety of dishes all fresh. The drinks were reasonably priced although a bottle of prosecco was nearly £20. The total bill for us was around £100 but that includes many Singha's and a bottle of prosecco, 4 starters, 4 mains and two rices. Beware they charge £2 for... More

Treated my husband for a birthday meal. have never been before but will definitely not hesitate to come back. The food was really flavoursome and piping hot. best thai food I have experienced by far. The service was excellent also. I would have preferred some dimmed lighting just to add to the atmosphere of an evening dining meal but other... More

The food from Naka Thai is always lovely and flavoursome. The portions are average and it's good value for money. Naka platter for two offers a great tasting platter to try a bit of everything to find the starter for you.

Not being too experienced at Thai food it's difficult to say whether this place is hood or bad for Thai food. However I had a bloody marvellous meal in a nice restaurant with excellent service

Very tasty, fresh tasting and looking food. Good value for money and excellent service. Would highly recommend. Only negative is the corridor to the toilets was a bit cluttered with things, boxes, high chairs and other bits and bobs. Not a big deal really, just constructive criticism.

Authentic Thai cuisine served up fresh every time. Been using Naka Thai for 18 months for regular meals and takeaways and it never disappointed not once. Excellent for vegetarians and meat eaters alike. We went to Thailand earlier this year and food is so similar, it gives you a great idea what the foods like over there. When great food... More

For a change we decided to visit this nice Thai restaurant at the bottom of east hill. Lovely welcome and nice beers on draft. When the food arrived I was so happy we choose the place and would recommend to everyone. The goat and boot pub opposite is a great meeting place before or after also.

Sometimes I worry about how Thai the Thai food is - but no worries here - its authentic and its good. The service is also good and the prices are reasonable. Recommended....
