Sunday lunch done really well

Let it here be said. This was the best Sunday lunch I have ever had. Really, really good. Ham hock terrine, roast pork and a sublime toasted banana bread, with salted caramel ice cream, banana and peanut brittle. Just lovely!

Visited the Treble Tile after not having been in several years to see if it had improved. The choice was disappointing and the bread stale. After being charged £6.50 for a starter the size of a cracker I was still hungry when I got home....seems I will have to continue to travel to the Fox in Bulmer where Henry continues... More

I was surprised by a trip to this restaurant when I went up to visit family in Suffolk, we travelled an hour down from Bury St Edmunds, and had a great meal. It was worth the drive, the restaurant itself is quite small, at least the area we ate in, and you need to book if you want a table,... More

As the title suggests this place could be open to some mixed reviews. I enjoyed my evening i thought that the food was wonderfully presented and tasted great. However my partner thought that although the food was nice he would of liked to see more of it due to the fact that if he'd paid the same elsewhere he wouldn't... More

Was recommeded by a junior chef to check this Chillax (keeping down with the kids!) place out as he knows I'm a fussy so and so. Wasn't disappointed.. Nice decor, friendly staff, clean environment and an exciting not over the top menu. Quite buzzy for a Friday night in a relaxed style, Scrumptious starters, venison Scott egg pear chutney -... Recommended by our hosts at Timbers b and b. We had a really good meal with excellent service and a reasonable price. So we booked for the second night of our trip. A different team on duty, but expecting us and made to feel welcome. Another lovely meal (fish pie with vegetables cooked just right). Excellent service again. Would go... More

We had a really decent meal at this local pub offering cuisine that sits somewhere between traditional and gastropub (i.e. good without being pretentious). I particularly recommend the pork belly starter and my companions definitely liked the roast lamb pie. There was a specials board with several fish options. My skate wing was cooked perfectly, but disappointingly did not come... More

We're taking you somewhere you will love! A quick answer to where we were going to celebrate Mothers' Day during our visit to the 'Colchester' family. So instead of our usual restaurant we headed for The Treble Tile, named for the shape of the roof tiles, I was told. From the outside it was just a village pub - nothing... More

Had a fantastic Sunday lunch here, rib eye beef roast dinner was lovely, and the chocolate brownie desert was amazing! Would recommend this pub for food, every time we visit it's top notch !!

Three of us had lunch there yesterday and the Steak & Kidney pudding was the best I have had anywhere . Mmmmm!! Lovely creamy mash & properly cooked fresh vegetables. Even as good as my mums used to be! took me right back to when I was a young girl. This is such a friendly venue and the food here... More
