Had Sunday lunch here for my Sister's birthday, she choose it following a recommendation from her friends, so this was my first visit. Fantastic service from the moment we were greeted when we walked in until we left. We liked the fact there was plenty of space between tables so you don't feel like you need to whisper or be... More

In short: works Christmas dinner, the three people who had scallops were ill the next day, very expensive, no atmosphere and below average service! This place had promise but were very short of the mark!

Although we came here over a year ago, I just have to express how amazing my meal was. Yes, you have to pay a lot and it is a small portion but in my eyes is well worth it for the standard of food! I had a fillet of honey roast pork with mustard mash and chutney which is making... More

She called a waiter and sent it back. When her "new" dish had arrived, it was the same plate (we could tell from the wipe of sauce from when... More

Food was amazing, so was atmosphere. Live piano on Valentines day made it very romantic and special. Definitely recommend.

Patrick and his team never fail to disappoint at this gem of a restaurant. The Old Siege House is located in one of Colchester's most beautiful and historic buildings. The food is well prepared and delightfully presented. Offering medium value this all adds up to a great night out

This is our third visit to The Old Siege House.....another wonderful experience shared by myself and partner. The building itself is stunning, with a relaxing, candle lit, romantic ambiance. We were pleased to also be entertained by a very talented pianist and singer. We thoroughly enjoyed all our delicious starters, mains & desserts. The scallops are a must! All staff... More
