Heard about this unusual restaurant by word of mouth. Glad we went prepared to wait, as even though we got there for 12 the restaurant was already heaving and we had a 50 minute wait. This wasn't a problem as we went to a nearby pub for a drink. We took our own bread, butter, mayonnaise and water. Ordered a... More

I love oysters. This is the place to get 'em. Seriously gorgeous, fresh, juicy, amazing. Not to be missed. I understand they do other seafood, but I wouldn't know. For raw oyster lovers I recommend attending with an appropriate adult to drag you out before you reach four dozen . . . .

Superb dining experience, much has been said about this place (Particularly Rick Stein) (which is also a fishmongers - specialising in the local oysters but much else besides). Does not serve wine - bring your own and some Bread. - let them provide the sea food, It is a little alfresco and "rustic" for some (tables are a motley collection... More

Visited yesterday ....food was as good as always ...service was good too. This place is all about fresh seafood not silver service. So if the food is the main object - then it is great. But if you are worried about the decor then go to Waitrose

I took two friends from H.K. to the Company Shed. They were gobsmacked that such a place existed. A café attached to a fish monger's. The food is freshly cooked. We saw the clams being taken from the ice and later being returned to us, lightly but properly fried with scallions. I was last here about four years ago. The... More

We have visited tge shed many times, even sailed our yacht there and went ashore to visit many times. We visited this week Mid june 2014 and we were most dissapointed. There was chaos inside with many tables empty and still covered with dirty plates etc. We were expected to wait for nearly 2 hours so we bought a lobster... More

Felt this was a bit of a let down having read some glowing reviews. Thought the seafood platter was too pricey with 1 mussel, a few small bits of crab and mackerel, a very small piece of salmon plus some shelled and shell on prawns and a king prawn. Lovely fresh oysters at 90p each. The cooked dishes of scallops... More

3 generations of our family excitedly arranged to meet here for lunch- certainly didn't disappoint. Having read reviews we bought our own bread and wine and got there at 12 to put our name down for a table- 1.15pm which was perfect, pre-lunch walk and cider at the pub. The names says it all- it's a shed. The place is... More

As a sea food lover my first visit to the company shed failed to impress me. Quick to get a table and got everything explained to us. We ordered dozen oyster dressed cab and two hot mussels and prawns dishes. I can not say they are the best taste of sea food.a few oyster looked a bit funny. The prawns... More

Four of us ate here on aSaturday afternoon. We arrived just after 12 to be told there was a 3 hour wait for at able for four. It really is very popular. We left our names and went to a near by pub to wait, it was a lovely afternoon! The wait suited us. If you don't want to wait... More
