I had a great time here. There is much to commend – excellent food and plenty of it, a lovely ambiance, very friendly and attentive staff and a good selection of drinks. I started with the prawn cocktail, which was fresh tasting and well balanced. Others had the creamy garlic mushrooms and the pate, both of which were very well... More

Hello and thank you for your lovely review. It sounds like you all had a good feast! Its a challenge to get portions right and we appreciate that some people have bigger appetites than others, if you like to enjoy all 3 courses, we recommend customers to share a starter and pud, that way you can enjoy your main course.... We booked a table here for a party of 7 after reading reviews on trip advisor. We ate from the early bird specials menu. 2 courses for £12...We had planned on pudding but were far too full. 4 of us choose the steak option for an extra £3 and it was a good sized piece of steak. The garlic mushrooms... More

The service was great, friendly staff - nothing too much trouble with altering orders etc. The food was also fantastic - good sized portions and tasty food! I would recommend the garlic mushrooms to start and their pulled pork topped... More

Came here for a second time while visiting my parents and it was just as good as the first time! The pub was busy so there was a small wait for our food to arrive but it was fantastic. Between us we had gammon steaks, fish and chips and the burger from the specials menu, all were huge portions and... More
