We are a country pub, located 14 miles from Boston, 8 miles from Skegness, we boast a large carpark, beautiful garden with patio and heated smoking hut.Inside we offer a large conservatory overlooking the garden, which leads into the public bar, with 2 drinking areas and a seperate dining room on the side. We close all day Monday and serve food from Tuesday evening to Sunday lunch. We get very busy in the evenings and on a Sunday Lunch, so we do recommend to book!! We were booked in for a late lunch at 3.30pm and upon arrival we were greeted by friendly staff. Ordered drinking including a very good Bateman's XB. This pub definitely knows how to look after its beer. We were there with friends who had brought their young children so we asked to be situated in a part of the restaurant... More

We came here for my grandmother's birthday. We had a table booked for 8pm. On arrival, we were shepherded round to the bar to await someone to bring menus/take our drinks order as our table wasn't ready. However, given that the restaurant was almost empty, I can't understand why. We were sat there for 15 minutes before someone even brought... More

Found this cosy little pub/restaurant on a 'drive out', so pleased to have done so too. Very pleasant surroundings, extremely friendly and helpful staff and very comfortable seating. We opted for a very 'traditional' starter and roast Sunday lunch of prawn cocktails and roast chicken breast with the seasonal veg. Food arrived very quickly and very well presented and the... More

Very warm welcome from the staff. 2 lovely open fires to keep you warm in these cold winter months. Good choice on the menu and reasonably priced. We had a lovely bread starter to share. Main course you could choose from a variety of tasty sausages, potatoes and other sundries. All presented very well, cooked hot and with hand cut... More

Valentines meal, food lovely as always, well presented. Friendly staff always happy to help. We go quite often & have never had a bad meal or experience yet. Early bird menus are the same high quality as a la carte. Booking recommended.

this is a nice pub that serves good food. Staff are all pleasant, polite and helpful. Has a lovely open fire roaring away which is very welcoming. Has a specials menu and early bird tariff if you get there early you can eat cheaper. It is a little expensive but the food is good and ample. So if you want... More

I had a great time here. There is much to commend – excellent food and plenty of it, a lovely ambiance, very friendly and attentive staff and a good selection of drinks. I started with the prawn cocktail, which was fresh tasting and well balanced. Others had the creamy garlic mushrooms and the pate, both of which were very well... More

Hello and thank you for your lovely review. It sounds like you all had a good feast! Its a challenge to get portions right and we appreciate that some people have bigger appetites than others, if you like to enjoy all 3 courses, we recommend customers to share a starter and pud, that way you can enjoy your main course....
