Nice Meal

Lovely interior, good menu and excellent service would go back and recommend to anyone looking for posh pub grub. Plenty of parking and a comfy bar area to sit before/after your meal.

Our family, of ten met in the Exeter Arms for our annual get together. There should Alec been more of us but illness prevailed for some. We were given exclusive use of the Orangery and had a fantastic four hour lunch and post-Christmas celebration. It was no problem that we were a couple of people missing and our newest family... We had booked lunch here for 4 people. First visit here. Appearances good, staff welcoming, table fine. Then things slowed......and slowed... Meals were ok, fish and chips a bit small perhaps. One monk fish risotto . Waiting.....and waited for puddings. Waited and waited for the bill. Possibly a coincidence, but person who had monk fish was ill about an hour... More

Three of us had dinner midweek. Amazing seafood ravioli starrter. Good choice of home cooked favourites..The sea bass was great. Mid price and worth the extra. The service and food quality make this restaurant stand out. Going for Christmas Day lunch.

Was a lovely place and was greeted with i suspect the floor manager that day with our complaint and he dealt with it in a very professional manor and made us feel comfortable by letting him know the wrongs on the day a bit more table service would have been nice and smile from the waiter would have been nice... We travel up from Bedfordshire just to have Sunday lunch. My daughter is in. Wheelchair and we have always been greeted with professional and friendly staff. Lunch is good value yes a little bit dearer but I feel that there are excellent ingredients involved. I can hardly believe some of the bad reviews we have never had a bad experience..

We stopped her spontaneously and were warmly welcomed by the bar staff. Nothing was too much trouble, they were great. The food as delicious, the environment was beautifully decorated to a high standard and cleanliness, just everything you'd expect form a high quality country pub. Great for families!

At the ripe old age of 31 and a good up bringing, I let myself down by judging this book by its cover/reviews. The company I work for decided to send me away on a human factors course and booked me in at this b&b, naturally I decided to Google it to see what I was in for. The reviews... More

We came for a quiet birthday lunch. The reviews were a little mixed but overall it looked like it would be worth trying. So glad we did. The staff we met on a Friday lunch were all very welcoming and attentive. It didn't take long to settle at a table and for drinks to be brought to us. It was... More

Stopped for Sunday lunch. We were made very welcome, including our dog. We had roast beef and pork which was beautifully cooked. Good honest food. The addition of roast parsnips would have made this a perfect meal! Pudding was excellent also; the cheese board was very good value. Lovely cosy atmosphere and would definitely visit again.
