excellent food

My wife & I visited this restaurant for the first time last night (Saturday) having booked a couple of hours earlier. A very bright room with pleasant décor greeted us & we were seated quickly. The menu was varied from which we chose onion bhaji for starters which were flat cooked to perfection. I... read more

Service: staff very good, wait for food terrible. We want as a group of 7 including two kids, had just one course each and didn't get out until 9.30pm Restaurant: cramped and very warm but clean and pleasant. They get a lot of takeaway customers but there is nowhere to seat them while they wait, resulting in people standing around... More

Love it here, staff are always very welcoming, even with large groups! I've been coming here for a while now and I've never had a bad meal, meat is always good quality and the naan bread is delicious. It can get a little warm so leave the jumper at home haha

An impromptu group requirement for food took us to the Indian Chef in Walmley Village. This was my first time here. 8 of us ate popadoms for starters and mains with nan or rice. The food was okay, no-one complained or complemented for that matter. The restaurant was small, service was reasonably quick (but then we were the only ones... More

It is great to be able to walk to a local Indian restaurant and enjoy authentic Indian/ Bangladeshi food with all the usual Indian favourites and also a range of dishes developed by the chef and a choice of spice levels. Staff are keen to advise you so you enjoy your perfect meal. Bringing your own alcohol is also a... More

We visited here by chance and although clearly very popular and busy we were quickly found a table. The main was a little slow to arrive but well worth the wait. One of the best Indian meals we have eaten this year. We would certainly like to visit again

Eaten here on several occasions....both takeaway and eat in....unlicensed so you can take drinks...and there's a couple of off-licences a stones throw away Good range of food to choose from and the staff are very accomodating (we took a friend who's dairy and gluten intolerant....the staff knew exactly which dishes were appropriate) This is not a gastro-curry experience....more a solid... Good food and service. It is not a large restaurant but it's a great to eat locally and good value as you can take your own drinks.

I've eaten here a few times and although it isn't the best Indian restaurant in Sutton it was ok. But my most recent visit will probably be my last. I swear some of the chicken in my dish appeared to be left over from someone else's dish. I can't be sure but some pieces were decidely cooked more and had... More
