visited easter Saturday evening with a family party of 6, and although busy staff were very helpful and attentive, they went out of their way to ensure my wife who is a coeliac ( cant eat anything containing wheat or gluten) had a nearly full menu to pick off .likewise my son in law is a vegetarian and said that... I was attracted by the menu outside for the 3 courses for £13.50. I thought i would give it another try even though my last visit wasnt good at all. While i was waiting for my husband to arrive i ordered a glass of wine. I must have waited over 15 minutes to get it as the waitress was struggling... More

Thank you for your forthright review and comments. It is always very helpful to receive feedback, however poor it might be, because it provides us with a clear indication as to where we need to improve. In the light of your experience we will need to re-double our efforts, and rest assured that is exactly what we will do. More

Offered bread but had to chase butter, sent back starter as pasta tortellini burnt?, following was too al dente, but as partners scallops had already been waiting on plate warmer then felt obliged. Clearly an unacceptable experience, so please accept our apologies for that. In the vast main we do get it right but clearly in this instance we did not. We hope that at some future time you will try again. More

We aim to err on the side of generosity, so it is very disappointing that in this instance we do not have appeared to deliver good value for money. Rest assured we will try harder. Apologies! More

We have been eating here quite frequently for the past 2 years. Lunches and evening meals have never failed to deliver good value , good cooking well presented. This restaurant has changed hands a few times but the present owners deserve support. We shall continue to dine there.

I was treated to a lunch last Sunday on Mother's Day. We had a warm welcome when we arrived and were shown to our table. The menu had a good variety of dishes, the roast beef with fresh vegetables was delicious as well as the sticky toffee pudding! Prices seemed reasonable and the service was excellent.

Delighted you enjoyed your visit on Mother’s Day. For the present we are not generally open on Sundays but it is something we would like to consider in the future. As for the Sticky Toffee Pudding, it is our most popular dessert. More

We went for lunch after finding our first choice wasn't open on Mondays. We hadn't fancied the menu before the restaurant changed hands, but were pleased with what was on offer on the lunchtime menu - also the special offers, though we decided to have the fish and chips with shared vegetables. The fish was lovely. Most of the batter... More
