Met my modest expectations

Visited here as staying on business at the adjacent PI. Frankly too tired to be bothered searching elsewhere so, with pretty low expectations (as I have been 'brewered' in their other establishments in the past), I ventured here. Despite this, the O'Bridge was a little better than anticipated... read more

Actual presentation of the pub could do with an update. Food fantastic, service/ staff all seemed efficient. Enjoyed it. Busy place, course being part of the Premier Inn hotel guests use the pub. Not that that's a bad thing! The Brewers Fayre brand is good, lots on the menu.

Atlantic Cod!? Poor food. Cod had a thick rubbery skin and the flesh was grey. The peas were cold. The portion pf chips was mean. No member of staff enquired as to what we thought of the food, no wonder!

When queueing to make my order, I noticed plenty of staff walking about in and out of the bar ignoring queue lengths. When I finally got served and ordered my food. It never took too long to come. BUT, the food was horrid. I never quibble with food and that says something. My son who is known as a bottomless... More

I won't lie. I had a few bad experiences here with long waits, wrong food and not so nice food. However, I have now changed my thinking. We visited last Sunday to try again for what we thought was probably going to be the last time. We were wrong and will return again. This time we ordered from.the grill. My... More

Staying at the hotel for a few days and using the fayre as a place to eat, starters arrive with main meals, even after numerous attempts of telling the ordering staff, food coming out mixture of overcooked/microwaved and cold chips or sides, dry meat, steak ordered well done came out bleeding..... Same steak then brought out recooked and cold.... Orders... More

We have eaten at this restaurant plenty of times before and have never had such a bad experience. I don't know if there has been a change of management but I wouldn't rush back again based on this visit. We decided to go for the burger and hotdog night. We arrived a little after 5 and waited to be seated... More

my friend and i visited this abode on 19.3.2015, we had coffee, very good indeed, but then decided to have a little something with it so made our choice, mine being the Lemon Cheesecake of which there were 4 pieces ready sliced sitting in the dessert cabinet, i turned to the bar in time to see the barman trying to... Have visited twice in March. The first time we had to wait ages for the food and when it arrived it was lukewarm. Today the food was hot and better. Waitress was friendly. Parking is a problem. We arrived after the busy lunchtime rush and the car park was full. However, when we entered most tables were empty. Difficult to... More

Obviously a very busy day to come! We had the carvery - it wasn't until I came home and checked my receipt and noticed that I was charged for 2 courses - was there an option??? No one advised on this. Plus the Qs were ridiculously long merging in with the 2 bar stations - crazy and frustrating. As you... More
