An enjoyable night out

I've been here twice now. Both times it has been for business, once with German colleagues, they enjoyed it too. The portions are generous and the mixed grill defeated those that tried it. On the whole a good evening out. Out of 10 meals we have not had a bad one so will certainly use it again when... read more

I have been going here for years and it used to set the standard to Indian food and service in the area. We have noticed over the last year that neither is as good as it used to be. We had a takeaway from there this weekend and that is the last time we will eat there. the food was... More

I was pleasantly surprised by the Aagrah I'm Wakefield. My wife and I popped in as we were on our way home. The atmosphere was laid back and pleasant and the period decor is charming (it's an old hotel) the waiting staff were very polite, attentive and efficient. The menu was a pleasant deviation from the usual suspects. The food... More

We went as a family last week. I haven't eaten in the Aagrah since I had a glass of house wine with fruit flies in it, anyway that was a while ago so thought I should give it another try. The service was poor but I thought that was just about inexperience of some of the staff. We all had... More

Went Monday night opting for buffet self-service offering 5 choices each from 3 courses for £10 excluding drinks. Food was reasonably authentic, better than most Indian Pakistani curry houses, staff helpful & friendly. A good experience & well worth it.

We visited here (group of 6) and had a nice night. The starters were nice, naans were lovely but the rice wasn't very warm and my main was far too hot (2 chillis on the menu - but virtually in edible) & the monkfish was like mush. We have had much nicer meals here overall all very average - would... More

We visited Aagrah at wakefield at the weekend & was so disappointed, it's usually very good but just about everything was poor from start to finish on this visit, we had a mixed starter for two which was over cooked & dry & our friend ordered seekh kebabs which were pre cooked & stale. Our main courses were lamb curries,... More
