I love the atmosphere in this pub and have been going for years . Lovely open fires and gas lights lots of history . Shame you can no longer eat in the bar though . Visited for Saturday lunch. The pub is so cosy with its gas lights and real fires. The real ales from Ossett Brewery add to the attraction and the food is very good as well. Nice location on the top of the heath just outside Wakefield. Well worth a visit.
