a gem of deli - worth visiting Horbury

This deli is an excellent charming place to either grab a quick sandwich, or take your time and eat the best quality food at a slower place. You will never be hassled. The food is consistently great. The team also have a cheerful buzz. Horbury is a great place for a wander about. If you do visit... read more

I work on the road and end up grabbing lunch from all kinds of places. Luckily I stumbled upon this place today. The service was top notch and my seeded brown bagette with chedder, roasted ham and chilli jam was the nicest sandwich I've had in yonks. Generous helpings of ingrediants aswell which is always a good thing. Would recommend... More

Called in for lunch again! Service friendly as always; we had to wait a few minutes for a table this time as the place was heaving but it was yet again, well worth the wait. We had the Greek Salad which is always a favourite and was as good as ever. We must say that The Black Olive does tend... More

The Black Olive is the friendliest cafe in the area. The cake and coffee is always reliable, and if it's lunch time the special soup is a good choice! What's more, the staff are friendly and look like they are pleased to have you there....

A yummy hidden little gem just off the high street in Horbury, nothing fancy/flashy looking from the outside, but inside full of complete yumminess :) Upon entering the premises, you walk into the "deli" side of the business, filled with luxury yummy cheeses, meats, pate and home baked bread. Also shelves packed with local home made yummy produce, the chilli... More

£2.90 for a warm ginger scone with butter plus a decent sized/decent tasting mug of latte - you just can't beat it. AND the coffee stayed hot right down to the bottom of the mug - you don't get that in Starbucks! Quiet unobtrusive place you could so easily miss then live to regret it. Go visit - TODAY!

Have visited here on numerous occasions. Always of a high standard. The food is delicious and the staff are always pleasant. Attached to a well stocked deli. Just what Horbury needs. Well worth a visit.

This is a fantastic deli and lunch cafe , we go at least once a week and have always had a wonderful experience. Mike and Debbie are great hosts and the menu is a great mix of comforting treats (my favourite being Cheese on toast with red onions etc ), and more interesting deli type sandwiches and wraps. And the... More
