Quality fish and chips

The fish and chips in the restaurant are excellent. Quality fish, crispy batter, plenty of chips and mushy peas could not be bettered. Very friendly and helpful staff. Highly recommended

Having had fish and chips from this reputable establishment many times when i lived nearby. I decided to buy some when passing for my wife and I. Unfortunately this is not the Kingfisher of old, the chips were tasteless, the batter on the fish was 'soggy', the curry sauce was beyond bland. My wife's fish cake (which had to be... More

i suppose fish and chips are fish and chips if your hungry, however, if you do go there, park a little way of and walk, theres a bus stop lane outside that the owner seems to think its his customers right to park on, i challenged the owner about this after ide spent the best part of £30 and was... We visited on our way home from hospital. There were only a couple of other people there and our fish and chips were cooked fresh. You can select the size of fish you want.Goes down well with a large pot of tea and bread and butter.

I always check Trip Advisor for best restaurants when we are having a day out and, particularly when going to the seaside, often have a fish and chip meal. We have visited many described as 'the best' but we agreed yesterday that our fish and chip meal at The Kingfisher could not be improved upon. The haddock was flaky and... More

As from the fish and chip capital of the U.K. Was not expecting to be as good but absolutely fantastic, moist white flaky fish with a crispy batter and not dredged in fat, tasty chips cooked to perfection. Very happy a full. Thank you Jonathan

We are not exactly local but we will visit here purposely to have really good fish and chips anytime, it's a firm favourite. Always available, fresh lightly battered fish, fast and high quality. We get them unwrapped to eat outside, in the car or take the short journey to Pugneys and have them there.

Just a had a nice chip shop take away! I really like their onion rings but you need to let them know as you walk in if you want them or you'll have a long wait! Great chippie but the rubbish parking really lets it down.
