We go here for lunch in the restaurant pretty regularly and its always excellent fish 'n' chips - and for the "old uns", on the pensioners special, damn good value too.

This place serves proper Yorkshire fish & chips. Generous piece of Haddock & lovely crisp chips. All good here.

Went to the restaurant on a Saturday evening,it was busy but had a few tables. We were seated, served and meal and drinks ordered within a few minutes. Fish was very tasty, served with bread, butter and tea. The place was immaculately clean and the staff were very attentive. Add to that the very quick service and great tasting fish and chips,top... Have visited this restaurant on a few occasions and although the food is good the service is lacking. To sum it up....slow and un-enthusiastic.

We used to go a pub up the road for meals quite often but after some shocking meals and very unfriendly staff we have been going to the fish restauarant here ever since. Great fish and chips and the staff are fantastic. £9.30 for large haddock chips bread and butter and tea or coffee. Fish always white and fresh.

I'm a regular at both the takeaway and the restaurant, often on a Friday teatime. Good value and excellent quality - light option batter is perfect, and the chips and particularly the mushy peas are very tasty. Service is always friendly and efficient. Parking is awkward but you have to be prepared for that - it's worth the hassle.

I was born and raised in Wakefield, home of the finest fish and chips in the world. Having lived in the United States for 23 years I was excited to finally show my 2 American children what this fish and chip thing was all about. I chose the Kingfisher because my dad used to own it about 30 years ago.... More

Fish and chips are so good here and good value. Always hot and big portions. Parking is a problem, but you can't have everything.you can park on side road, on the opposite side. Worth a call in.
