We always use the Kingfisher for our Fish & Chip take aways. The flavour and quality are consistent and at a reasonable price. The size of the fish has reduced a little over the last few months but I would guess that this is due to keeping the costs down to the customer.

Went for fish and chips and, fancying a change, went for a fishcake with my chips. In the this district names for such a fish and potato in batter creation. Patties I've heard, turnovers too, but whatever the name these were enjoyable, good value and very appealing on the eye. The boxes wouldn't close either. Made a nice change. Takeaway... More

Eaten here loads of times, good value, good portions and a free lolly. We travel 25 miles to eat here and its worth the trip. Can get busy as it only has a small restaurant area and its only fish and chips after all. But if you like your good old fish, chips and mushy peas give this place a... More

Me and my mum inlaw called in for a meal last Friday, we had a very nice visit. All the staff were very happy and enjoying their jobs. The service and food was excellent

As fish and chips go, this take out and cafe have consistently produced tasty meals for a good few years now. We have tried others in the area but keep coming back to Kingfisher.

After going to kingfisher for years and years I am very disappointed the last 3 visits. Portions have got smaller, yet prices have gone up! Fish is wet and soggy, sticks to paper and chips are undercooked.

We still visit the restaurant twice a week and the food is always very good but since they have the facility to have chips 'well done' they are so much nicer. Not everyone likes well done chips but my advice is just try them well done for the one time and you will never want them white again.

I've been going here for 15 years and it's always great. There's usually somewhere to sit down in the spacious restarant side and service is pleasant and quick. Generally go there at lunchtime as we're travelling up or down the country and it has never let us down.
