We sat in the restaurant which has a lovely ambience and was warm and cosy. There was only my Husband and I as our friends were ill. We only had a main course which was the classic burger with bacon and brie. The bacon was well done as we had asked for it and the meal was lovely. The house... More

Following a lovely group lunch at this pub in March this year, we decided to go back with another group for lunch. What a different experience. Despite making the booking several weeks earlier, paying a deposit and sending a pre-order, we arrived to find that 12 of us were squashed onto a table for 10 despite being told we would... More

Four friends and I meet each month for lunch and as most of us live in this area, we decided to visit the Three Houses for lunch, rather than our usual town centre venues. The pub is very cosy and well decorated. It would have been nice if a fire had been lit as it was a cold day but... More

For those who don't know it, this used to be one of the best restaurants in Sandal. But it has slowly been going downhill since it reopened after the fire. The meal tonight was very average, the steaks were chewy and (apart from a lovely girl with a permanent smile) the service was acceptable and the manager grumpy. It will... More

Had a meal recently in this establishment, which I feel thinks it's better than it is. There was hardly anybody in, yet the food took ages to be served. My dining companions enjoyed their meals, but we were so hungry by the time they arrived I think we would have woofed them down regardless! My main course was accompanied by... More

Went here for a celebration dinner as part of a group of 16, so we had the Krug dining room for the evening. Really nice prawn and crayfish starter followed by a very tasty and well seasoned pork chop. Dessert was the eaton mess. Side vegetables cooked nicely and good wine menu. Portions nicely sized without being over generous so... More
