Had a meal recently in this establishment, which I feel thinks it's better than it is. There was hardly anybody in, yet the food took ages to be served. My dining companions enjoyed their meals, but we were so hungry by the time they arrived I think we would have woofed them down regardless! My main course was accompanied by... More

Went here for a celebration dinner as part of a group of 16, so we had the Krug dining room for the evening. Really nice prawn and crayfish starter followed by a very tasty and well seasoned pork chop. Dessert was the eaton mess. Side vegetables cooked nicely and good wine menu. Portions nicely sized without being over generous so... More

Arrived for Sunday lunch, as a group of 4 and elected to dine in the pleasingly smart dining room, which has a mix of contemporary and classic styles. The reassuringly sensible menu (a few good seasonal selections, rather than attempting too many choices) , with enough variety to please everyone in our group. The service was courteous, pro-active and prompt.... More

The menu seemed to be a fixed price for the main course and then extra for chips or veg, for the price of some if the main... More

Had a lunchtime meal at this lovely pub. Variety of meals were all enjoyed by our party. Service was quick and efficient and the meals were nice and hot when brought to our table. Would highly recommend. Prices were quite acceptable and didn't feel we had been diddled !!!

I was the one who actually recommended this place to my folks when they visited at Easter. I had been there once before and thought it was lovely. This time, not so much! There was one person serving and seemed quite busy (although I have seen places busier) to be honest by the look of things the B team was... More
