Me and my partner went to this pub / restaurant last week . We went in for a quick drink and decided to stay for food . It is a lovely cosy pub with friendly staff who couldn't help enough . The food was gorgeous and there was so much to choose from very reasonable prices . My partner got... More

Booked late on for small party. freindly staff, food quick, hot and enjoyable. Accommodated my daughters choice of food as she wasn't keen on children's menu.

When we arrived it was really busy, the person to greet us was who I assume was the landlord ( gentleman with glasses) was lovely from there he showed is to our table and took care of us. He was working really hard looking after all the tables from taking orders to bringing out the food, answering the phone and... More

If your looking for good home cooked food, freshly cooked to order then this is the place to go short crust pies to die for and proper home cooked chips not cooked in skins. Been going here for years now and never disappointed. Pub itself nothing special but food more than makes up for it, male head waiter always professional... More

eaten here a couple of times now, and it definitely is not a one off good experience. The food is really tasty - the lamb stew I had was divine!. Anyone with a healthy appetite will not be disappointed. Plenty on the plate, and with veg as a side dish, there is more than enough to go round. The pies... More

We came across this lovely pub whilst staying at the Cedar court hotel. The food was well cooked and plentiful, the staff and landlady were all very pleasant and attentive. Highly recommended.

Really good food, friendly & attentive staff--really enjoyed it. However--the front of the pub was scruffy, needed cleaning & sweeping in the doorway + the flower boxes were a disgrace. (last month) Inside we were next to a window at the back of the pub which was filthy black & off putting--didn't bother me too much, but my friend was... More

well I'm staying at the cedar court hotel and didn't fancy anything on the menu or the prices so thought I'd have a drive around and see what I could find. The pub on the outside didn't look anything special , however the inside was welcoming and people behind the bar looked pleased to see me so i ordered some... More

I was told about this pub by collegues and needed to get out of the hotel and walked the mile or so to the pub and back. The staff were really friendly and seated me with a pint of ale straight away. Good selection on the menu and a daily specials menu which had a 16oz T-bone for only £15.95.... More
