Poorly trained staff. Bad customer service

Drinks didn't arrive. Asked for slice of lemon in my water, didn't get it. One of our meals went to the table behind us. Then after sitting on their table, it was passed back to our table which was apparently ok as they hadn't touched it! Was cold by this time. Offered to reheat! Took it away and... read more

A group of us arrived for a birthday meal(party of 9) were told we were to be seated upstairs and to order from the gourmet menu. However, when we arrived, we were hurried along to a VERY crowded table downstairs despite being told we were upstairs. Then we we're given a menu which was completely different to the one which... Large group booked as a celebration. Checked online menu to arrange pre booking but when we rang the menu had changed so we all had to rethink. Not the end of the world. When we arrived we were all squeezed on to a tiny long table, too hot in summer weather! I had a bruschetta starter which was basically garlic... More

Had a lovely meal, no complaints at all. Food was fabulous and all staff were attentive, professional but not too intrusive. Overall a lovely evening. Could not fault it.

I prebooked a table at the oven for this evening - running slightly late, I rang to inform them and was told this was no problem. I arrived only 10 minutes late, and my friends quickly followed. We were all seated and ready to order by 6.20pm. The waitress purposefully did not take our order until 6.45pm - at this... More

Second visit to the Oven. Both visits the food has been good, nicely presented and good portion size. The first visit we sat upstairs and were not felt rushed or pushed. The second visit unfortunately was a different experience. You got the feeling they wanted you in and out. My friend was still eating yet twice they tried to clear... More

Myself and 3 friends visited The Oven for Sunday lunch yesterday to celebrate my birthday. It was quite frankly the worst restaurant experience I've had in a very long time! This is a shame because The Oven used to be a favourite of mine. Customer service has never been their forte, but yesterday exceeded all expectations. The waitress dropped an... More

Our visit was faultless really. All of the waitresses that served us during our meal were poliet, friendly and made us feel welcome and at ease. The food was beautiful, tasty and just the right amount. 2 of us ordered from the standard menu and 2 from the gourmet and I must say the baklava dessert that I had was... More

The food here is delicious, no doubt about it, great value for money, we had 3 courses for £10 which ends at 6.30 on a friday, however we were told it finishes at 6.00 (this info no where to be seen so be careful) waitresses were very friendly. 'head waiter' very rude and lacking in customer service training.

I decided to take my girlfriend out on a date and I chose the Oven, I had been before with friends and family and liked the place so decided to take just the two of us. The food was faultless (needless to say really) and the services was excellent. The icing on the cake was when my girlfriend did not... More
