We have been for Sunday lunch previously here & have been here for weekday early evening meals before. We went tonight as I had a money off voucher. They seemed to be really short staffed compared to previously. There was just one poor girl trying her best to cover more or less the whole pub. We eventually ordered our food... More

Met friends here for early dinner a few weeks ago. The food is terrible. I reckon they are all 'ready meals' which are over microwaved. I had the fish pie which was inedible. They can't possbly employ a chef or even a cook. If they do they should be sacked. What amazes me about this place is it's continued popularity.... More

We are used to the Old Farmhouse for Sunday lunches but this was a quiet Saturday night out. The restaurant was understaffed and our booking was not recorded. The service was slow due to our server having a large area to cover and a lot of table (and floor) to clean. Despite a quiet area we were seated by the... More

We stumbled across this lovely place on our holidays in the U.K. You are not offered sea bass too often in Niagara so I boldly ordered it served on a delicious harrisa seasoned chick pea stew with chorizo sausage pairs with a fragrant Jasmine rice. PERFECT thank you

I've eaten here before and my husband and I were in Darlington and decided to try it again. My husband had Gammon Steak with egg peas and chips and a cremated piece of pineapple. I had the bacon and brie sandwich with chips. This came in a crusty granary cob but according to the server, they don't do soft bread... More

Having been to this restaurant a few times before we decided to have a run out on bank holiday monday. I have to say it did not dissappoint, the food and relaxed atmosphere was lovely and at £15 each it was well worth it. The duck was gorgeous.

I thought the ambience of the place was really nice. We went when the weather was good, and sat outside, but would imagine that in the winter it is very cosy inside. Sadly, the food didn't live up to expectations. We'd been recommended the place by friends who frequently visit, so it was a disappointment when our chips were cold,... More

My last visit, until recently was nearly 8 years ago. On arrival, I asked if it would be ok for my daughter, then 8 years old, to eat her own food. Her disability required a restricting diet. The member of staff we spoke to was fine about it however I did say that I would order suitable food from the... More

I went here for Sunday lunch with my daughter, service was very friendly but not enough staff on for the amount of people to serve. Portion sizes were far too big, food was tasty enough. Good for a Sunday, family lunch. You won't be disappointed, but you won't be blown away either....
