great service

Went there for a birthday meal on Saturday night (7.30). The place was VERY busy and thought we would be in for a long wait for food but it arrived very quickly. The staff were very friendly and efficient. I had the warm fudge cake which I thought was lovely. 5 main courses, 5 desserts, 3 half... read more

We're visiting all the TripAdviser top-rated restaurants in our local area so this time it was a chance for Blue Lagoon to show what it had, currently at number 17! This place can be summarised as traditional, friendly (almost cosy!), no frills. Certainly not modern or contemporary! Seems the kind of place that has a lot of repeat customers of... More

What a fantastic place the Blue Lagoon is. We have just celebrated my Mother’s 90th Birthday here and I cannot praise them highly enough. From the moment we arrived the waitresses were attentive and made a lovely fuss of the birthday girl. The menu provided exactly the sort of selection which satisfied our varied tastes that day. The Moussaka remains... More

Suggested meal at Blue Lagoon leading up to Christmas and some friends hadn't been for years. Very pleasantly surprised! The atmosphere was excellent and staff extremely friendly. The food was great and reasonably priced. There is a wide variety of food so something to suit everyone. The portion size is big and after eating a starter we couldn't finish the... More

As ever food and service excellent. Freshly cooked and delicious. Chicken parmesan is simply the best. Vegetable moussaka to die for. Thanks to Peter and all the staff

Booked in advance to eat here on New Years Eve. We ate at the 7pm sitting and they had 2 other sittings of 5 and 9. It was only a limited menu for the night but this meant food was served quickly. I ordered the pate as did my husband and the chicken a la creme for mains. Both were... More

My wife and I booked this restaurant in advance for New Year's Eve . They had 3 sittings and we chose the 7 o clock slot . It was full of happy and it seemed many regular customers. All the staff were friendly and the food was served really quick. We decided on the pate maison for starters which was... More

My colleagues and I ate at The Blue Lagoon on Saturday evening for our Christmas night out. Usually, I find eating out difficult as I'm vegan and have an allergy to wheat but the whole experience was wonderful. For my starter I had potato wedges with relish , which wa delicious. For the main course I ordered a salad -... More

As ever go to the Blue Lagoon and you get welcomed as if you were a member of the family, the staff are fantastic, the menu is quality old school, well cooked and well presented, you are, and never will be disappointed after a visit to the Blue Lagoon.
