What a find!

I've said on many occasions that if the powers-that-be awarded PhDs for scone appreciation, I'd have a dozen! I've eaten scones in too many places and on too many occasions to hide my light under a bushel. This week, we discovered Coopers Tea Rooms in Post House Wynd and, guess what, I opted for a... read more

I have been visiting Coopers for a while now and I can honestly say that I have not had a bad experience. The staff are fantastic and extremely polite, courteous and friendly. The food is well cooked and clearly homemade which makes it delicious! The coleslaw is truly amazing. My friend and I opted for a dessert on this occasion... More

Many thanks for taking the time to review Coopers Tea Rooms, it is appreciated it when someone with a PhD in Sconelogy offers feedback. We agree wholeheartedly with you about "that squidgy poor apology for cream from a can" ..... which is why we have never served it.... and never will serve it. We threw away 3 dozen cans of... More

I often visit here with my parents...cakes and scones are delicious! As are the bacon sandwiches however I can understand where others have commented on the rudeness of the manageress she would not let people sit downstairs as they were short staffed yet it was full upstairs... So left an Elderly women to stand for 10 minutes waiting into Which... More

Dear Hannah Many thanks for taking the time to review our business. We are really sorry that you were unhappy with the way we appeared to treat some customers. As always there are two sides to every story. The lady who waited to have a seat on the ground flour is a regular customer who has mobility issues and is... More

Friendly welcome and informed to head downstairs where there were plenty of seats to choose from. Mind your head if you're tall though, prefect height for me but above 6ft you need to duck to get down the stairs. Entered to a room which looks like your grans living room. Three of us all really enjoyed our meal. I had... More

I have eaten at Coopers many times over the years and it has retained its charm and quality. A good place to revive onself on a cold day or, to regroup between shopping bouts, Coopers offers friendly service and quality food. There are tables on the main floor and, on the lower floor (no windows, with some sofas for relaxing... More

We discovered Coopers while searching for somewhere to have lunch on a cold windy day, so we found Coopers by accident and we're so glad we did! The food is freshly cooked and delicious and the staff are unobtrusive, but provide good and friendly service. The room is traditionally decorated and homely. I would definitely recommend Coopers to anyone visiting... More

Saw cake in the window of Coopers and decided to go in and ask for take out. The waiter quoted the price of the cake which was reasonable. He then asked whether we were sitting in or taking out, at this point it started to rain so we decided to sit in. Then the manageress told us quite abruptly we... More

Dear Cake Doll We are very sorry that your visit to Coopers did not match your high expectations. We do understand that it is embarrassing when you make a mistake and an adult has to point it out to you. In our opinion it is a little unfair to blame us for YOU not understanding the term “Take Out” You... More

We have been using Coopers for sometime now but after a couple of not so enjoyable visits we did not go for a few months, however we decided to give it another try today. The place was busy, the service was polite and efficient. We had the hot turkey sandwich with stuffing, chips and salad. The food was fine but... More

A family group of four of us had lunch at Coopers on Sunday 2 November 2014. It was a simple meal (Two Breakfasts an Omelette and Chicken Goujons. The staff were very friendly and helpful - even when I wanted something different about my coffee. The food was delivered quickly, very well presented and absolutely delicious. The Tea Room itself... My sister and I visited on a cold October afternoon. We really did not want to visit the usual chain coffee shops and this took a bit of searching. Up a really quaint back street this is a proper old fashioned coffee and tea rooms. The staff were really friendly and helpful - even though it was 4pm and not... More
