Visited bank holiday and the food and service was excellent. Plates were full of homemade food, price reasonable for the ample serving that we got. Will be back.

The food was good and plenty on all our plates. Unfortunately we were seated in the bar near the exit to the kitchen, which was not exactly perfect for a birthday party, especially having two children in the group. The staff were pleasant and did close the outer door when we said it was cold. When we booked we were... More

we visited at lunchtime and had the roast of the day which was roast beef with yorkshire pudding, the meat, yorkshire pud and roast potatoes came on the plate followed by a serving dish with the vegetables, broccoli, carrots and green beans, a jug of gravy which was made from meat juices and not instant granules, delicous! We booked for lunch, it was very busy, so we waited a while to be served. We had roast pork, and roast lamb, with loads of nice veg, and a large home made Yorkshire pudding. It was very good, huge portions for £9.50 each, couldn't manage a desert afterwards. Would go again.

We had prawns for starters that were as good as anything I have ever had as well as being very reasonably priced, for... More

Pub grub at its best, as good as any 5 star places. Brilliant mixed grill. Good selection of beers and lagers and all at a great price. This place is well worth a visit.

Enjoyed a meal here for my 50th birthday and was excellent - I had prawns to start and rib eye steak followed by eaton mess. We both had three courses and 4 pints and glass of wine and bill came to £68.00. Service was excellent and food arrived quickly and was freshly cooked.
