Food was tasty, service satisfactory and vfm satisfactory. I do not like, nor do I believe it to be a mark of respect that paying customers should need to have the preparation of other tables and the room in general, for the next opening as a backdrop to their meals.

Went here for a meal with relatives & what a fantastic surprise. Managed to book the last table on the Friday night for 6 (book early though) turned up & received a very warm welcome. Drinks prices very good indeed. Food was excellent at a very reasonable price & the portion sizes were massive......fish & chips exceptional & the cheese... More

Stayed at redworth hall and ate here on Saturday night. Fantastic food, portions were huge, staff lovely, best chips I've ever eaten. Very good value for money.

Rolled up without a reservation on a Monday evening and thought we would try the Early Bird offer. The place was not too busy to begin with but the customers kept trickling in. I had a Chicken, mushroom and garlic pie (in a delightful sauce) contained in a herby crusty pastry case, accompanied with to-die-for chunky chips, mushy peas and... More

Really wanted to eat here, buzzing atmosphere and the food looked fab. Awarding 4 stars in the hope I will get a table next time I am in the area, please open later on a Sunday, nowhere in the area to eat on Sunday nights

Good food and selection, good size portions which are very filling - haven't been disappointed yet. Reasonable price given the portion sizes. Would recommend. Nice atmosphere too. Good rural feel.

Had not been here for some time but went last week with my wife, early evening. She had the roast (beef) which was very good and I had the Haddock which I have to say was excellent and better than you'd get in most fish & chip restaurants. A huge, thick piece of fish superbly cooked in a crisp batter.... More

Went to the George and Dragon today for Sunday lunch after reading about it here. I was already aware that it was a dog friendly pub but what we found was a pub with more dogs than people. I dont mind dogs been there whilst we eat but this was a joke. There was at least 4 dogs present where... More

Five of us had a meal on Monday 20th, meals hot, very well presented, large portions and we never had an empty glass thanks to the waitress and the manager on duty. If you haven't been to the George & Dragon you are missing out. Fabulous guys keep it up.

Cosy pub. Went here after hotel we were staying at was full for dinner. Staff welcoming, atmosphere cosy though whole menu not provided at first. Not great vegetarian options and kids menu quality poor - pizza dry and fairly stodgy. Tables fairly close together.
