A wet night in Darlington

I found this trying to keep dry on a really damp night - looked warm and welcoming from the outside so in I went . It's a bit of a hybrid with real ale and Sky sports at the front and Spanish music , exposed brickwork and candlelit in the back -I over ordered as I didn't realise how big... read more

I'd never really been in before as i don't really like crowded places but I love it. As a fan of real ale I went two nights in a row and each night had something different. DNA and Culture Vulture are both lovely ales and I'm glad I found them

Great place hidden away in Darlington. Food is superb and priced very reasonably. Staff are good as well and ensure everything runs smoothly.

My first choice is always the Tapas bar due to the gorgeous food and great atmosphere which is why I celebrated my birthday here last weekend! I even got a happy birthday song especially for me along with a flaming sambuca!!! I recommend the tapas bar for any occasion, you can drink copious amounts of sangria and eat probably the... More

Very uncomfortable as me and my boyfriend were abused by a group of drunken lads, then the manager came over and asked us to leave. If it was not for other people speaking up to say they had the same abuse then we would of had to leave. We are camra real ale members and enjoy real ale pubs but... More

We apologise that you were not happy with your recent visit to us. Although we do aim to provide a warm and friendly welcome, we did unfortunately have to ask your party to leave the premises as we cannot allow foul language, or aggressive behaviour. The other group were also dealt with accordingly. We are sorry to hear you feel... More

I'm not sure how we had missed this Tapas restaurant all the times we have visited Darlington. This visit we gave it a try and are so glad we did. If only we could have tried all the flavorful morsels they had to offer!! From the hummus to the spiced lamb with chick peas, all our tapas were fantastic! Can't... More

Lovely welcome even though we were close to the end of lunch service. We had a good selection of tapas were not rushed and all enjoyed it. We followed up with cocktails and had a lovely relaxing afternoon. Having normally been in the evening when there's a lively atmosphere, it was equally enjoyable to experience at a slower pace.

My partner and I visit the Tapas bar every few months or so, There is always a friendly warm atmosphere and the food is excellent and cooked by one of the best chefs in Darlington (in my honest opinion ) This time around we ate Gambas pil pil, Calamari, Humus, Cordero con garbanzo, Roasted beetroot and cheeky portion of chips.... It's not very often I give the whole 5 stars rating but on this occasion I wish I could give more. We ate here last night ( 21st feb)for my daughters 21st and it could not have been better. A family of 12 enjoyed the party menu at £15 a head and it was absolutely first class quality and quantity.The... More
