Great location

We requested a window table but unfortunately didn't get one. It was a beautiful evening and the views would have been far better from a window table. The menu was quite small with many of the choices having a surcharge. Our meal was good but not amazing! Our waiting staff had very poor English... read more

Easter Sunday Lunch, must be lamb. And it was, one of the best lamb lunches I have had for years. Four of us booked a window table in La Roche, and whilst the sun wasn't out it was pretty sunny inside. We all went for the Table d'Hote which at £35 per head for three courses seemed reasonable. And we... More

The setting for this is first class, overlooking Swanage bay and Poole harbour there is always something going on. The service was worthy of 5 stars, the waiter to our table (Terenc) was a joy to behold, nothing was to much trouble, on to the food the menu was varied to suit everyone, cooked perfectly. Well worth a visit

The setting of this restaurant is truly fabulous. We dined on a sunny clear day and were able to take advantage of the view over to Studland. The food was delicious and worthy of its fine dining reputation. However the downside is that the young staff require more training on dining etiquette. A waiter who reaches between two diners who... the staff at this hotel and restaurant are truly superb, the food is beautifully presented and the wine list excellent, even when busy (although a little slow) the staff work together and always serve with a smile and seem genuine in the way they want you to have a lovely time, we stayed at the hotel so used this restaurant... Visited for lunch and regretted it. Yes the restaurant has great views across to sandbanks and Poole harbour but the quality of the food is not fine dining. The soup was average, risotto very salty and the date and toffee doughnut tasted like the doughnuts had been made three days before and were stale. Did point this out and were... More

We dined here on consecutive evenings whilst staying at The Haven Hotel. On both occasions the food was delicious and very well presented and the staff were friendly and helpful. On our first night, we used the bar for a swift G&T. This was perhaps the most disappointing part of our experience. We both felt that the bar lacked ambiance;... More

I got taken to this restaurant by my boyfriends family. I had the calimari for starter and steak for main. Portions are huge and very very delicious. There is also an amazing view of the sea and we had a great view of a beautiful sunset! The staff were also great and very friendly. Really recommended!

Under the watchful eye of head chef Jason Hornbuckle, we enjoyed 6-nights of wonderfully crafted and perfectly cooked food. Highlights were the amazing duck ravioli, the bavette of beef (succulent, melt in the mouth doesn't begin to describe this dish, and if you know your beef cuts, you know just how hard it is to achieve) and all his fish...
