Under the watchful eye of head chef Jason Hornbuckle, we enjoyed 6-nights of wonderfully crafted and perfectly cooked food. Highlights were the amazing duck ravioli, the bavette of beef (succulent, melt in the mouth doesn't begin to describe this dish, and if you know your beef cuts, you know just how hard it is to achieve) and all his fish... Lovely setting and great atmosphere. Food was great and service was also very good. Carp a bit small so get there early.

We eat here once a year as a special treat for Sunday lunch. The views are outstanding of Poole Harbour, Harry's rocks etc. It's as if you were on the continent, with the sun (hopefully) and the sea air, and you can't help feeling relaxed. However, the staff are always quite abrupt, which is strange in such a wonderful location.... More

It was our wedding anniversary and we booked lunch in the restaurant with wonderful sea views and close-ups of all the marine traffic to and fro from Poole harbour. We chose well and the service, food and wine complimented the spectacular location. In our opinion nothing or nowhere could have improved on our choice for our anniversary lunch.

Went here for a celebratory meal. View is outstanding. Food nice for the price, though we have had better for a similar price. Service hit and miss. No greeting when we arrived - had to walk into the restaurant to find staff, only to be taken back to the entrance. Table service started well. Starters came quickly and were delicious.... More

Table of 5 for dinner and it was a limited menu of about 5 choices per course at £30 for 3 courses or £22.50 for 2. Setting, location and views are stunning. Lookout over shell bay and old Harry rocks and watch the boats coming in and out of Poole harbour. The restaurant was tidy and modern with a smart... More

The food was excellent and a treat to come back to each night. While it is a little expensive, it is a fabulous experience for the taste buds and the desserts were some of the best I have ever experienced. The staff was also excellent and paid great attention to my needs, even asking the chef to change one item... More

Beautiful location right at the water's edge. Chicken liver pate was OK, nothing special, served without toast. Thai fishcakes were just full of potato and we could not detect any Thai flavour or spices. Fish medley - three small pieces of fish in a weak tasting broth and few bits of pearl barley. Duck with few slivers of roast veg.... More

Ate here on our first night at the hotel by default (we would usually go out somewhere) but we're pleasantly surprised. The restaurant makes full use oByers location by being long and tiered so everyone can enjoy the fine views over the ocean. It is also spacious with a contemporary feel. The menu was not enormous but there was a... More
