Wonderful food and service

A warm welcome and good service, plus most importantly the food was delicious. There are many fish dishes to choose from and daily specials, which are worth considering.

A lovely little pub with a fabulous seafood menu. The moules are delicious and the king prawns are to die for. Fresh seafood in a great place with lovely staff. I will definitely be back. Holly is amazing!!!!

This old fashioned cosy quay-side pub boasts a splendid selection of fresh fish dishes, ranging from a tasty snack of spicy calamari to a hearty fish casserole. No fish and chips as such, but that makes a welcome change. The wine list is sensible and well-priced. The service is as friendly as you could wish. (One of the staff even... More

The Poole Arms is a 400 year old proper pub. Distinguished by its original green tiled exterior, serving good fresh seafood and excellent real ales all lovingly kept by Bob the landlord . Its not been spoiled by trendy interior designers, its even got a Gents loo which is down the Ally out side as it always was in the... More

Went into Poole Arms with some doubt as externally it's not very inviting. Quiet basic interior, but what a fantastic fish meal! We ordered whole Turbot and were not disappointed. Very much worth a visit.

Had lunch here in the week. Tiny place but everyone in there seemed to be eating something. Started with oysters (they could not come up with 12, only had 11 available, but this was advised with humour and before the dishes appeared!). However they did still charge me for 12 which was a bit cheeky. Had a nice bottle of... More

Having eaten a big lunch earlier that day, we sought a nice pub to get a snack in the evening. Having checked out the other establishments along the Quayside, we went into the Poole Arms, you can't miss it... It's the Green one !! The selection of seafish options on both the menu and specials board was exceptional and food... More
