Popped in for lunch whilst on a day trip to Poole with my elderly mother. I was a bit worried having read other reviews but I found the food tasty, the beer good and the staff could not have been more friendly or helpful. Don't understand the comments in other reviews - I would certainly visit again!

Appearance of the pub was not really appealing but so glad we went in - one of the best meals we have had in a pub restaurant for a long time. All four meals were excellent and the girls behind the bar couldn't have been more helpful. Would definitely go back if we are in the area.

Not very accommodating, food was disappointing and stale. They got the food order wrong, so we pointed it out only to get it brought out to us incorrect again! Would not recommend.

Can't believe this place is so far down the list! We called in and had two excellent meals. The squid starter very good and the mains, one sole and one salmon were one of the best meals we've had in a while. When you first walk in the place doesn't look much but don't let this put you off. Great... More

Rude waitress, rude locals propping up the bar, unfriendly, waited over an hour for a main meal! Was not worth the wait tasteless food, expensive. Spoilt our trip, wish we had gone some where else!

I have been spending time on the Quay for over 25 years- that's what you get for marrying a Poole girl and stealing her away to Staffordshire! Never ventured into the Poole Arms before. Something to do with the green tiled frontage I think. We called in after a fraught journey to Bristol to drop off our son and his... More

This was a nice pub where they served good food. Nice staff. The pub is located at the harbour and in a nice area to walk around in.

Went here on Poole bike night and ordered calamari for my Wife and I had megrim. The place was not particularly busy and we waited for over an hour to receive our order. I complained and said we were leaving after people on another table who arrived after us received their meals before we did. The obstreperous landlord intervened and... More

Called in here earlier tonight for a pre dinner pint ( we're staying at the RNLI College). The bar staff were very friendly and welcoming, however, just after we sat down this chap, who I assumed to be the landlord or similar, breezed over and literally threw down a couple of menus. I said we weren't eating, just having a... More

Grandchildren had never tasted seafood. Bob Kerr (the "governor") and his team at the Poole Arms put on, by request, a Lobster, crab, Oyster and prawn lunch extravaganza. Besides being visually impressive the price was modest and my grandchildren are spoiled for life!! Thanks to all at the Poole Arms, and very well done. Tony S
