Visited midweek with some girlfriends. Gorgeous evening on the balcony ruined by poor quality overpriced food. Our poor waitress worked her socks off dealing with the whole upper floor on her own. Give that girl a medal she deserves it. This place could be amazing as the setting is superb. If only they served good quality reasonably priced food and... More

Have been here a couple of years ago and it was so-so. We saw they did a tasting menu at £35 a head for 6 courses with wine. There were only 4 couples in total trying this menu which was a shame. The atmosphere overlooking the park & lake on a lovely summers evening was excellent. The courses were all... More

We visited on Sunday lunchtime and were shocked by the rude service - a swearing manager who belittled her own staff in front of us as customers (whilst we waited 15 mins to be seated). When food was served the fish was some ghastly white battered fish that certainly wasn't cod or haddock. On the plus side, the tartare sauce... More

We went here for fish and chips for lunch. We had bought a voucher for live elite. Now I understand that when you buy these vouchers the food isn't usually as good if you had bought it at the full price. But even still I was very disappointed. I'm pretty sure the fish was not cod, if it was then... More

We went to this restaurant using a voucher. On arrival was greated by very pleasant young lady and shown to our table, (there were only 2 other couples there at this point). Beautiful views over the lake. As part of our deal we had fish and chips with mushy peas, chips and peas were lovely but the fish batter was... More

Dreadful service; rude manager who couldn't organise... anything! People queuing for attention, menus, service and the staff doing their utmost to be rude and pretend customers aren't there! If I were the owners I wouldn't hesitate to make necessary improvements...

Took my mum here for a treat just before mother's day - amazing afternoon tea! Great selection, quantity and quality and the staff were friendly and helpful. Will definitely be going back!

My husband and I have just returned from a disastrous meal at this restaurant. We had cod and chips, it looked great, but was totally raw and stone cold in the middle of both our fish. The waiter took it away, he seemed embarrassed. New meals eventually arrived, not as bad as the first lot but still chewy, undercooked and... More

The staff were quite pleasant but we had to wait 15 mins for a menu. Drinks arrived but we were each given a tea bag which hardly changed the colour of the water. When we asked for another bag, we got one to share. A bit more colour but still little flavour. It took 45 mins to get our food... More

Was visiting Poole when organising a Bike Event cycle ride - taking place in the park - the crew called in for breakfast - what a lovely cafe, overlooking the lake, the sun was shining and the food was great - although on the Sunday we called in they were lacking some of the ingredients on the breakfast menu -...
