I have recently visited the Bombay twice - for a meal at the restaurant and I have also ordered a takeaway. The food has tasted really good on both occasions but the service is just bad! Firstly, we ate the Bombay on a Thursday evening. The restaurant wasn't busy. The food came out quite quickly. However the plates were not... More

Went to The Bombay Saturday night as my usual High Street curry house was full and it has a long time since we last tried it. The menu has some real variation from the usual and we tried some dished that we had not seen before. Both arrived in good time and had some real flavor that was instantly different... More

I will start by saying that the food they serve is delicious, it is one of the best in terms of quality of food and taste. However, the service was not that great, just looked like they wanted to be somewhere else. When I said that they had my order wrong he said it was the chefs fault as he... More

the restaurant is great looking, but often not very full and this reflects in the atmosphere inside the restaurant. the food is good but not inspiring and service is ok. considering the competition this restaurant has within the high street (approx 7-8 other indian choices!) this could be so much better!

Absolutely love this place! Been a few times now, as I'd been trying to find a nice indian. This is definitely the place, food is superb and staff are really attentive. Very reasonably priced too!

If its good quality food your looking for this is the place to go . I had a simple starter and a basic curry of chicken tikka dansak. I didn't have the usual pint of cobra as i think £4 plus a pint is a rip off. But if your looking for a happy smiling 'welcoming face forget it .a... More

Quiet as before, but we were joined by two workers who seemed to have ordered their meal in advance as it was served almost immediately. Our service was pretty good too. Decided not to have popadums this time (I see I didn't rate the chutneys last time). Predictably my daughter chose lamb pasanda but I went for achari chicken off... More

Had a meal here last week and as soon as 4 of us got seated they put in a 2 seated table which was resting on the back of 2 of the chairs we were sitting on. This meant our elbows were going straight into the curry's of the table behind - There was no way 2 of us was... More

Had a meal here 11/3/14 and the food was quite nice. However, despite advertising coke on the outside menu and on their website for £2.75 for 2 litres, we were charged £15.60 for 4 pints of coke. The waiter said they did not have 2 litre bottles. £3.90 for a pint of coke seemed expensive and would discourage us from... More
