Staff are always willing and very helpful. We have been for several Christmas meals with colleagues and enjoyed them all. I think you get good value for money. The meals are well presented and very tasty. It has always been very clean. Can't wait to go again!

Went here with the girls to celebrate my birthday but it would be equally good for a romantic dinner for two. On arrival we were able to sit down in the intimate bar area and wait for everyone to arrive. Both the food and wine was lovely, the entire group enjoyed it and there is the option to have a... More

Myself, my boyfriend , my sister & her boyfriend went to the townhouse for a 3 course dinner for New Year's Eve dinner. There was champagne on arrival, excellent reception. Very carried out & well sorted. We got seated at 8pm. Service throughout the whole evening was great!! Food was outstanding. Wasn't rushed between each course, plenty of time for... More

Prices dictate the food and service in my books, this place should be top notch but is average, the quality of the the food is ok but nothing special, vegies are scarce the sweet is very expensive like £6 to £8 pound (at weatherspoons you can get an 8 ounce steak with plenty of veg and a guiness for £6.10)... Really good, wholesome food. Well prepared. Rustic rather than fine-dining but no complaints. Service was excellent, just the right amount of friendly efficient attention. The choice of wine available by the glass was a very pleasant surprise. Will look forward to a future visit

Had an enjoyable work's Christmas lunch here - good food with a good atmosphere. The food was hot and a good quality. The service was just right, with no long waits. The place was clean and tidy, with friendly staff. The table decorations and crackers were good quality and matched! My only quibble would be that as a lover of... More

Our second visit to this restaurant (can't believe we haven't been more often). We were part of a large party celebrating a 50th birthday and had the whole of the top floor of the restaurant. All of us had to choose in advance from the set Christmas menu, which was no problem. I had smoked trout bruschetta, rump of lamb... More

Dined here for the first time with friends who had been previously. It would be difficult to find fault with either the food or the service. The set menu is good particularly good value (3 courses £17). I had perfectly cooked chicken livers to start and the others had the seafood platter, which they loved. All main courses were perfectly... More

Great menu lots of choices. Food was very well presented and tasty, due to personal choice did not like liver served lighly cooked( was not aware of this when ordered) ., This was replaced by another dish which was lovely with no additional charge and the service was extremely good, if a little slow initially, but we were not in a...
