There is no doubt that the Mariners is a SUPERB restaurant. My partner took me there to celebrate my birthday and I had been wanting to go there for a while. Really wanted to sit upstairs but was told that was out of the question, which really disappointed me. My Gratin starter was fantastic but... read more

Lunched here on the of the moment, looking for something different. We were pleasantly surprised - lots of choice on the lunch menu and cheap. The food was amazing and the service was excellent. Think we'll be dining here regularly!!

Staying outside of town, drove in and parked by the marina. Walking along the quay liked the look of Mariners which is a boat moored on the quayside. Only the French are as competent as this as running restaurants anywhere in the world. Understated food and service onboard a former ferry. Mahogany and brass abound. Menu and wine list regional... Twelve well behaved hens gathered on Saturday evening at Mariners Restaurant to celebrate my daughter's approaching wedding. Not one of us had cause to ruffle our feathers, as the food was superb and beautifully presented, and the staff were polite, friendly and patient. This is a very pretty, unusual and romantic venue too. Highly recommended and I for one will... More

Once again, Denis & Staff excelled on Mother's Day '15, despite our very late booking. Everything was wonderful and the Lamb exceptional! All in all a most convivial 2hrs - if only the Australian GP afterwards had equally lived up to expectations..!

Last Friday we decided to visit this beautiful and unique restaurant for our Anniversary meal, as we had on two previous occasions. We had a fantastic evening on board the mariner. The service was polite and professional. Food was beautifully presented and the ambiance was superb. Can't wait to return for another special occasion. If I need a special occasion... More

Visited with my partner this month. The restaurant itself is a boat moored up at the quay. Nice decor inside and good ambience on entering. Nice choices on the menu from classic to modern and a good wine list. I chose the tuna sashimi to start which was unusually presented and flavoursome. I had the pigeon main, which was overcooked... My husband and I returned here a few weeks ago and as usual, we cannot fault the service or the food. You are guaranteed a warm welcome and attentive service. The food is always wonderful. They are particularly good with fish and I had the halibut.Cooked to perfection. based on the Marina, it's a lovely place to have lunch or dinner.

We visited a few weeks ago for lunch and were really impressed. The welcome was genuine and you felt valued from the moment you walked into the restaurant. The menu selection was classical but there were a few twists also. I had a lovely terrine for starters and perfectly cooked pork belly to follow. My wife had crab and asparagus... More
