I visit regularly and always find the food and service faultless! Puddings are out of this world. So good I had two !! The landlord, Alan, is very welcoming and helpful. Can't wait to return on Easter Sunday !

We have just returned from a meal at the Brook. We used to be regular visitors, and were always delighted that we had so much choice and we could so easily discuss our requirements. This time, because I can't have dairy or wheat, there didn't seem to be much on the menu for me. Lots of the dishes had the... More

I am sorry that on your annual visit we did not meet your high expectations. It should have been explained more clearly to you that we are more than willing to modify our dishes to suit most dietary and health requirements, for example the dauphoise potatoes could have been replaced (without compromising the dish) with new or some other form... We were a family of 10 of all ages out for a birthday meal. I can certainly say the food was fantastic; well presented, generous portions, hot and tasty, what more could you want. The food was more restaurant quality rather than "pub grub" and we will certainly be back to sample more off the menu. The Landlord and waitress... More

Grumpiest waiter I have come across. Really miserable, we were a complete inconvenience to him. Whatever we said we were just grunted at. He really dragged the place down and made us feel unwelcome and awkward. Such a shame because the food was absolutely stunning and promt food service.

Apologies are due to you and your party, I regret that due to personal circumstances, (recent bereavement) I may well have come across in the manner you describe. I can assure you that this was never the intention and I look forward to being able to greet you and your party again in the near future. More

Was looking forward to trying as not many restaurants cater for coeliacs, and had read good reviews. Ordered chicken and mushroom pie, dry, overlooked chicken, no mushroom found, pastry too hard to cut on top and soggy underneath. The vegetables that accompanied it where in a curry sauce which was not advertised on menu, would have expected plain veg. Think that as... More

The others who ordered lasgne said it was ok. One member of our party ordered belly of pork but it turned out to be medalions, overall... More

I came to dinner recently with another friend who has a gluten intolerance. We were really excited to have found somewhere which could cater to our dietary needs but were very sadly disappointed. The food was average but not terrible, I had the venison stew which was, I have to say, truly delicious. I could not fault the taste at... More
