Give the place a go people, just re-opened after a lot of hard work on behalf of the new owners and new landlord Dave Clarke. Menu still catering for Coeliacs so will be taking my wife back soon. Sampled the lunch menu and very nice it was to, well done to all for the service and food. Keep up the... More

Tried to eat here on Monday 8th September. Web site says food served 6 to 9 pm. Sign outside says food served 6 to 9 pm. Actually it was closed and all locked up at 6.45pm. No sign of life at all. Wont be returning.

Apologies for your visit to the Brook Inn. The community bought the pub two weeks ago from Punch Taverns after an 18-month fundraising battle and sadly certain aspects of the pub have been neglected. The website does say it's open on a Monday night when it isn't - but unfortunately we haven't had time to upgrade it ,,,and the website... More

I have eaten several times at the Brook Inn and have always been happy with the quality but the last meal was below par with chips that were like the McDonalds ones & a cheesecake that actually wasn't a cheesecake but something with a sponge base.

Hi there - sorry to hear about your unhappy experience at the Brook. The time you visited the pub it was under the stewardship of a temporary landlord before it was sold in a community buyout on the 26th August. I can't really talk about the poor chips on the 17th but what I can say is that we are... More

We visited this lovely restaurant for my birthday and I was so surprised by the fabulous food and great value. The gluten free menu was a definite plus too! Will definitely be going again!

Booked a table for 5 and after reading other reviews of The Brook Inn was really looking forward to it. From start to finish it was an amazing place "a real hidden gem" A very warm welcome and great service from all of the staff, the beer was kept well too. My wife was the only one in our group... With a party of ten it was inevitable that diverse tastes, likings and appetites would float to the surface like a bread crouton in a bowl of rat soup ! Some required starters and a main course whereas others ordered a main and dessert. The waitress struggled manfully, if that is not a contradiction of gender and adverb, to take... More

Our first visit to The Brook Inn in Washbrook on Saturday 7th June for lunch was great. The menu is fantastic offering a huge choice of gluten free meals. As a coeliac who ususally ends up with little or no choice when eating out this was a great start. We had starters, main courses and shared a dessert and all... More
