Food and service excellent. Staff friendly and helpful. Loved the decor and could happily have stayed there all afternoon.

It wasn't a problem I asked if... More

We then decided to stay for dinner and everything was delicious,... More

Went for Sunday Lunch last week and as usual the food was delicious, lamb was the choice of three of us and the beef was also chosen by the forth member of our party. The vegetables were just right not too crunchy and not too soft, roast potatoes nice and crisp and the Yorkshire pudding was enormous, crisp and tasty.... More

If you have ever wondered about the meaning of "well kept beer"... have a pint in The Woolpack. At the same time enjoy the unimprovable food, delightful staff and homely atmosphere. Come to think of it... no, stay away, let me keep it to myself.

We're regular visitors to Ipswich from our home in Canada, since we have family there. We had tried the Woolpack previously without being overly impressed. At the recommendation of a friendly cabbie, who noted that the management has changed since our last visit, we decided to give it another go. We were very glad that we did - things have... More

If you plan a day out in Christchurch Park, I heartily recommend this place on the way through - the food here is fantastic. There's outdoor seating available if you fancy it.

We stopped off at the Woolpack for a cold drink and a snack having been out for a long Sunday afternoon walk. We sat outside in the sun to rest our aching feet and treated ourselves to a home made scotch egg and a sausage roll. Both were whopper-sized, really tasty and very meaty, the scotch egg with the slightly... More
