We ordered a take away from here on a busy Saturday night. The wait was long (which we expected) and the food was passable taste but very very greasy. Also, no naan bread served with a balti... Very odd! We won't be visiting again

Update - I have been back many times to Dhaka over the last month or two. On my visit straight after my last review, nothing was said but the phall I had was appreciably hotter and much better - they had read my review and acted on it. Most commendable! I'm now a regular and love my curries, so it... More

If are an indian in search of indian food then this is not the place to hang your boots at all. Most of the dishes at sweet and when you ask for spicy all you get is a curry prepared of mirchi powder! The quantity is not much specially for an door items and so is the taste.

Went in by myself this evening as I started work in Ipswich today & needed cheering up as I'm away from home during the week. Best bits - staff, speed of service, poppadoms, egg pilau, and their plain naan was exceptional. Not so best bits - phall was not really hot at all but despite that was pretty good. Complementary... I've eaten in most Indian restaurants in Ipswich and, although I really wanted this one to be great, it wasn't. It has a nice atmosphere and the service is very good but the food is very average. The classic Chicken Tikka Massala was far from the best I've had (that award goes to the Maharani). Other mains we tried were... More

Arrived in here late at night with two colleagues. What friendly service we encountered! We just got in on time as a group of 12 followed us. The food was really good. The nice touch at the end was the offer of a complimentary drink when paying our bill. Thank you................

Turned my frown upside down. Great service Great food 100% satisfied Turned up without booking, was a bit apprehensive but one foot in the door completely absolved any fears. If we ever go to Ipswich again. I would come here to eat.

I've eaten at this Indian restaurant quite a few times over the years & have never been disappointed. Its well located if you're visiting Ipswich - only five minutes walk or so from the very centre (Cornhill). The decor is traditional (although no red flocked wallpaper!) & it has a nice, cosy feel. The staff are friendly, the food has... More
