This is a lovely Gastro Pub, the new owners took over in October 2009 and have fantastic plans. They only serve locally brewed Bitter and Lager plus a great wine list. Mike is a fantastic chef and the staff are always friendly, smiling and helpful. Lots of space for private parties or meetings. Daily fresh menu with local produce.

Great Food Great Service!

A Hidden Gem! I showed up with 22 people and the staff went out of they way to make everyone feel welcome and the food was prepared well.

Hidden gem in Ipswich- We had a wonderful tasty dinner here this evening and the staff were fantastic! Nice choice of ales and ciders too! We will certainly go back.

This is by far in the top 1 meals that I have ever had in Ipswich. Fantastic food, beer and service. Not just a one off as I have been here with friends/family/girlfriend and never been let down. Can't recommend it highly enough :-)

The food is great, the staff are really nice and it is further along from the waterfront. Would highly recommend coming here.

We went here for a meal for our 1st anniversary. Had never been before, the building is full of character, the staff are very good at their job, professional, friendly and efficient, without being annoying and in your face like I tend to find in chain restaurants. They had an event on for over 80 people, yet we had no... More

I love this place and have done for ages. It has always been our "let's pop out for dinner" destination, and pretty much every occasion has been celebrated there. You cannot fault the food, it remains lovely. But the prices have increased and I wonder if they are now too high. After all, it is a pub, and a little... More

Visited a couple of times and never got round to leaving a review. Knew the chef from a previous restaurant and excited when heard his new venture. Menus are ingenious, local produce always first choice and with his talent and mind boggling ( but always successful) creativity do not disappoint. Front of house are warm and friendly and compliment the... More

I am really torn on my opinion of the Brewery Tap. The exterior and interior are best described as shabby chic and I personally think it is quirky enough inside to be individual and comfortable. Toilets are the wrong side of shabby and not chic at all. They need sorting asap, as does the car park. The staff are absolutely... More

Decided on a late lunch and wasn't disappointed. Roast was lovely - beef melted in the mouth but did find the gravy a tad odd. Thick and creamy in colour not the usual stock based gravy I am used to but could be the chef's special recipe. Posset was a bit sickly and glad I shared this as would never... More

Visited following positive reviews via word of mouth & online. Bit of a tit on to find & not that well signposted but the building looked on the quirky side of shabby chic & the menu looked great. Sadly upon arrival it was the wrong side of average and all a bit sickly, the lemon posset in particular was over-sweet... More
