Great place!

Great place! Friendly staff, food is superb. Recommend the Caribbean chicken curry. Always have a great time here and you can't beat the Adnams selection!

Warm and friendly pub, with real good pub food. If you just fancy a couple of drinks with friends and maybe a bite to eat, you would be hard pushed to find any pubs in Ipswich better than the Greyhound.

Although this place is very nice, the car park is tiny, the food is expensive, £10.50 for chicken linguine, £2 for a small lemonade, £4.50 for a sandwich. It caters for all sorts of people, ale drinkers, book readers. There is even a small selection of books that are free to read.

Nothing flash at the Greyhound - good beer, good atmosphere, good food - its simple and sound - a very sound formula that works well.

Had Sunday lunch there. It was OK. Had the carvery which was of a better standard than the usual pub carvery. The didn't try the trick of deep frying spuds and calling them roast potatoes. they served a good boiled potato which tasted a lot better than the ones you get from supermarkets, must have been farm specials I guess.... Visited for a pre show meal. Heard good reviews and wasn't disappointed. Excellent food. Service good even though busy night as Ipswich playing at home. Definitely will go back again.

This just has to be one of the best pubs in Suffolk. It's rather unusual in that it hasn't given itself over completely to being a foodie magnet it remains a highly popular place to meet up purely for drinking but the food is very very good indeed. The atmosphere is always lively and super friendly all the staff are... More

As with most Adnams pubs you know what to expect, great home cooked food and fantastic drinks, if only they had a bigger car park!

The award winning Adnams Pub of the year, and it doesn't take long to see why. A friendly, warm welcome. Fantastic local ale, and Food that just ticks the box every time I have eaten here. The Big Mac Burger (aka Mick Macarthy!) gives the football saturday even more of a football feel. Suitable for a quiet pint, romantic meal,... More
