Great Food

Ipswich is fairly bereft of vegetation choice so the fact this place serves such nice fayre is a massive bonus. Both myself and daughter (the proper vegetarian) had great tasting food, though I think my red lentil dahl was marginally better than her pasta.

We saw online that they are open until 4:30pm on a Saturday, so went in at 2:35pm for some lunch. Only one other table was taken, so we sat down and waited a bit. After a while the man behind the counter told us they only do lunches to 2:30pm, so we left to go to somewhere else. It was... More

This is one of my favourite places for lunch in Ipswich. The food is delicious and different from the food you get elsewhere. The menu has been different every time I have been. You sit at scrubbed pine tables, perhaps next to someone you've never met before, part of it's charm. The service is friendly and they get to know... More

After school holiday first visit! When we arrived museum street smell was delicious! This is a simple vegetarian cafe with real food and friendly service. Home made cakes are always fresh and interesting. Great value for money.

I ate here on Tuesday lunchtime and had the Puy Lentil and Tomato lasagne...really enjoyed it! I would have liked a choice of salad dressing that wasn't an oil-based one but other than that no complaints at all food wise. Service could have been happier...the man was friendly but the lady serving was pretty stern and bordering on rude to... More

Embarrassed to say that after all these years, this was my first meal at the museum street cafe. It was packed at lunch on a Friday and very popular. This is basic decor but really great vegetarian food. I had a wonderful soap and bread and you get a bottle of water on the table. It is no frills -... More

This place gets really busy, so it is advisable to book in advance. When we arrived there were no tables but they do excellent takeaway boxes so we filled up with chickpea curry, rice and salad and also got some chocolate cake to take-away too!

Simply do not understand any reviews that fail to recognise how good the VEGETARIAN food is in this cafe. Extremely healthy, imaginative and well thought out, perfectly prepared with the freshest of ingredients and most importantly fantastically flavoursome. As a vegetarian for nearly 50 years I have visited the cafe many, many times and have always received fantastic service from... More
