My husband and I first went to Zaika a couple of months ago.... why had we never been before? Happy to hear they confidently handled customers with gluten free diets we went along. After a very friendly welcome and being assured again by the owner due to her knowledge on gluten free we had one of the best evenings we... More

This is the best curry restraurant in Ipswich, I've eaten in them all in 40 years and this is by far the best for service and quality of Indian food.

First visit to this restaurant. Visited with friends. We were all given a very warm welcome and seated quickly. Service was first class and very attentive but not overpowering. The food was excellent but also reasonably priced. All four of us enjoyed our meal and the experience and all said we will return soon.

I have visited this restaurant many times and have found it to be one of the friendliest and consistent dining experiences in Ipswich. You can see other diners eating dishes that you may not have seen or heard of before and so it is always a good idea to look at what other tables have ordered and to ask the... More

While in Ipswich got the craving for a curry. This was recommended and seemingly is very popular as the place was full even mid week so we were luck that they squeezed us in. Had the usual popadoms and pickles to start and a chicken pathia to follow. Great meal if there are any complaints from a personal perspective I... More

I usually cook a curry on a Saturday, but this evening I fancied a change so booked a table at Zaika for me and hubby. I ordered the Hyderabadi chicken biryani and hubby had the chicken tikka biryani (madras hot). Both meals were outstanding. I have never seen a Hyderabadi on an Indian menu before. Will definitely go back (just... More

In Ipswich on business and I ate here two nights in a row because I thought it was very good. Good service, good location and very nice food.

While we were having a business dinner after long work day, the hotel employee who was serving our dinner asked us to finish fast as the table is reserved for other Customers and waiting. If it is the case expect minimum courtesy from Hotel Management to inform customers upfront rather being chucked out halfway through our business dinner. Upon talking... More

Ok so living in the Western Cape we are somewhat spoilt for decent restaurants, however in 3 years I am yet to try anything in South Africa that resembles or matches that most awesome of culinary delights the "English Indian/Bangladesh" Cuisine. As tradition dictates you have to have popadoms and chutneys for a pre starter, my guideline as to whether... More
