Another 1st. For the West Shore Beach Cafe. After sampling the scrummy homemade almond slice last week we thought this would be our new favourite for a long time to come, but now you've topped it already with the very best custard tart we've ever tasted !

Had lunch on my own this week. It was a nice day so i opted to sit outside, this proved to be a problem being on my own. You have to go into the cafe to order your food I had to leave my bag to secure my place. I stood in line behind 8 other people it took such... More

Hi enjoyed133 - I've read your review of the cafe and obviously I'm disappointed that you weren't happy having visited us - I am a bit confused as to when you visited us as you state you have to queue for the toilet key - which is untrue !! You don't need a key for the toilet - although we... More

Visited for the first time today and was very impressed although the service was a little slow but then anywhere good should have a queue! Lunch excellent, ice cream just right but a little pricy for a beach cafe overall, scone, cream and jam was £3 per scone! I suppose you pay for the view and the quality of the food.... More

Hi Lakesider Thanks for your lovely comments and for taking the time to review our cafe, it really is appreciated. I'm sorry you thought our homemade scone was a little dear - the price for a homemade Scone with butter is £1.60 which I think is reasonable, it's the addition of Jam at 40p and Clotted Cream at £1.00 that... I cannot fault the food or service in this lovely cafe, a fantastic choice that even satisfied my very picky son, BUT being something of a coffee addict, I was really disappointed tobe served instant granules with hot milk (which was down on the menu as a latte) and to be charged over £2.00 for this. All I can say... More

Hi Seren Just wanted to say thanks for taking the time to review our cafe, I'm really pleased you found our food to be delicious. I take your point on the coffee, although a lot of people have said how nice it is. I would like to use a traditional machine and have had consultants from two traditional machine manufacturers... Hi Welshbird I'm really pleased you enjoyed your chocolate brownie and even managed to finish off your friends caramel shortbread, if you call again i can recommend your friend tries our bakewell slice, it's not quite as sweet as the caramel shortbread. I'm glad you enjoyed your visit and thanks very much for taking the time to review our cafe.... More

Reopening today after the winter flooding the cafe was playing to a full house, and as if nothing had happened! Took mum for lunch and enjoyed home made quiche made with welsh produce, and lasagne made with welsh beef; yum, yum, and yum. Whilst waiting for the food to arrive we enjoyed unrivalled sea and mountain views whilst sipping cold juice... More

It's always a great experience visiting the WSBC and today it's re-opened after the winter storm damage. We've missed the place over the last few months and it looks like everyone else has too. The weather couldn't have been better and it was brilliant to be able to sit and sample the Pino Grigio with olives and bread whilst sitting... More

We first visited over a year ago & fell in love with this place. We live locally & are really missing coming in for lunch. The food & staff are great. We hope you will be back up & running soon.
