Came in on a busy Grand National Saturday yet the staff were all pleasant, unflustered, organised and attentive throughout. Very high standard of cleanliness and service. Menu was varied, with enough tasty options to please all the party of 3 adults and 1 usually fussy child. Especially appreciated the free and actually operational wifi system. Very popular pub with good food facinating surrounds well worth a visit. Gets busy early evenings so be prepared to chat the time away.

We have just had a great experience at the queen vitoria pub. we (14 plus 2 dogs) had booked in advance, due to the large number, and because it was a weekend evening, so expected it to be busy. We were made very welcome, and the food was first class. Our dogs were welcome, as long as they were contained... More

Having checked the Queen Victoria out on Trip Adviser we (wife & me) decided to try it for dinner last week. We called in for a drink first about five o'clock to make sure it was okay and there were plenty of workmen at the bar having a refresher on their way home. Their language was a bit industrial -... Planned to visit this restaurant on a day out from Liverpool; simply for the fact the website stated it accepted dogs. On arriving there was a big sign on the door saying 'no dogs'. We enquired inside an we were told that they had 'enough' dogs in for now and we could try back in an hour. No thanks! Does... More

We had booked a table for Sunday lunch and asked about taking our dog in (bearing in mind the mixed reviews about whether or not they accept dogs). We were all made very welcome and water was brought for our dog. We had been looking forward to the carvery bearing in mind an earlier review stating 'best carvery in years'... More
