Afternoon Bank Holiday Monday Visit

We visited bank holiday Monday, it was late in the day, about 5pm, but still received excellent attentive service, i hadn't visited Llandudno for about 15 years, and the wife never had, we literally only spent 1 1/2 hours there, but this time inspired us to book a return visit for 2 days, and... read more

1 of 5 stars Reviewed May 29, 2015 NEW

Went with my family for lunch, they couldn't accommodate us all on the same table, so fair enough my husband and I sat on a seperate table for 2. Our order was taken within a short period of time, and the drinks arrived quite quickly, and then it went downhill. We waited and waited. My daughter and family's meal was... More

My mother and I visited Fortes on Saturday, the same day as the Air show. We were seated quickly and our order taken. The place wasn't that busy but 45 minutes later we still hadn't had our food! It was brunch, how long do sausages, bacon and chips take? The family next to us waited over 50 minutes for 2... More

I can't comment on the main meals served here, but this is a wonderful place to go if you like, mostly traditional, ice cream desserts and sundaes. I try to pay a visit here each time I visit Llandudno which might be once or twice a year. This time I ate an Eton Mess Sundae and enjoyed every mouthful. The... More

Firstly, I don't think some waitresses understand 'smile' as they didn't smile once while taking our order, barely spoke for that matter. Secondly, being a vegetarian I ordered a vegetarian meal. As I went to eat my food I noticed something usual, a piece of HAM attached to my wrap. I don't like complaining and would rather take it on... More

This is the second time we have eaten here and can say that its well run, spotless and the menu caters for everyone. The fish and chips is fantastic and recommended.

This is a good casual choice. It's easy to find and open on Sunday when many other restaurants in Llandudno seemed to be closed. We came hungry and got a lot for our money. I ordered the 10" ham-and-mushroom pizza and my husband the giant burger with fries. The waitress brought out a tray full of individually packaged condiments. The... More

Only a brief review - I normally leave a longer one. four of us ate here on Sunday evening of the bank holiday weekend in May. We were all disappointed with our food, my husband had carbonara (tasteless), I had greek salad (plenty of cheese but not much imagination or taste to the salad or dressing), the children sausage and... We visited here during the Victorian Extravaganza weekend and while the service was ok, the food lacked flavour and 8 out of 10 in our group were disappointed. After mains we ordered desserts but these seemed to get lost and we had to follow these up ourselves after time. While the taste of the desserts made up for the disappointment... More
