We dined in the restaurant on Saturday evening to celebrate my fathers birthday we enjoyed a superb four course meal very reasonably priced. I can honestly say i have not enjoyed a meal so much every course was lovely. nicely presented and piping hot. To follow we had coffee in the residents lounge which was very comfortable and relaxing with... More

We ate here at the weekend. Great value and excellent standard. Four courses (£22.95 I think??) All courses were great. The only disappointment was the coffee afterwards. Served in the bar area and in vacuum flasks. I think that people expect more these days. That said, everything else was super fantastic!!! Thanks!!

Superb choice and great value. Bringing ack the consomme they used to do would be great-well beefbroth is very fashionable now and many of the older guests miss the clear soup option. All I'd say is maybe have a one course children's meal/consider a separate area for families between say 5-7pm.

First class food, served in excellent surroundings, we and our friends have been visiting every year for the past twelve years. We have cruised and travelled all over but we still rate this hotel.

The bread is to diefor freshly baked and the desserts , so yummy. We both had Pate to start with follwed by Lamb Shank and Rib Eyed Beef, for dessert... More

We recently dined here on the recommendation of the owners of the B&B where we were staying. They suggested the Poolside restaurant (3 courses £18.95) but that was fully booked. There was availability in the Watkins (4 courses £22.95) so we decided to push the boat out and dine there. We were not disappointed. The ambience, friendly and efficient staff... More

STandard fayre - and great to see real rather than tinned tomatoes for breakfast - and what a range of scrambled egg mixes! My husband really enjoyed dinner - me less so but we were very well catered for and acommodated

We eat here periodically. The food is top class and very good value. Its a nice smart place and you feel as though you have been somewhere a bit special. The only downside is the after dinner coffee. Its better to pay extra and have coffee served at your table. The alternative "free" option is to take coffee in the... More
