Description: Osborne’s Café and Grill in Llandudno -- could there be a more romantic restaurant anywhere? Set in the Grade II listed Osborne House Hotel right on the promenade, Osborne’s is a modern tribute to high Victorian style. Softly candlelit and decorated with opulent drapery, period fireplace, gleaming chandeliers, gilt mirrors, antiques, paintings and fluted columns, the dining room still manages to be relaxed and informal. Perfect for light bites or full meals, the menu uses local produce to create inventive, seasonally-changing modern European dishes. Everyone loves the Conwy Valley lamb shank with ratatouille and basil when it’s on the menu and the Osborne’s rendering of fish and chips.

From the minute we walked into this hotel we felt we had come to somewhere special. Rooms were well dressed and inviting. The dining room was light and airy with plenty of space between tables and NO music bombarded us, instead a pleasant quietness which allowed guests to chat. Food was great, staff attentive and helpful. Its now our favourite... More

My husband and I dined here with friends on a weekend break, after a recommendation. It was a good choice! The surroundings are opulent Victorian elegance, the menu provided a good range of dishes including plenty of choice for my vegetarian friend and the service was prompt and courteous. There is a good range of fresh fish dishes and the... More

No where near as good as we had been led to believe. My wife had the filet steak which she thoroughly enjoyed however the accompanying thimbleful of mashed potato and ten green beans in no way justified the extortionate price. I had the ribeye steak which had the appearance and consistency of road kill accompanied by the same lacklustre vegetables.... More

We arrived in Llandudno on Sunday 7/9/14 for a one night stay. During the afternoon we wandered round the town looking for a likely place for dinner and didn't see anything attractive. Passing the Empire Hotel we looked at the menu for the Osborne House restaurant. We liked the menu and booked, and what a find it turned out to... More

Lovley relaxed suroundings, with a 'Victorian' ambiance. Very friendly and efficient satff. Excelent menu, plenty of choices. The fixed price menu, if available, offers very good value. I would sugest that you book beforehand and then arrive early - that way you get to sit in comfy setees whilst having a first glass if wine or an aperitif whilst studying... More

Old world charm and elegance provides the context for good food. Excellent quality food and good wine at reasonable prices. The mussels in white wine, garlic and cream was sublime, and the local mussels large and very fresh. Efficient service with a smile. It was a very good start to our stay in Wales!

We ate lunch here on a Friday recently. Surprisingly for wales It was warm enough to eat al fresco. So I went in to order some wine while we studied the menu. The half price wine offer was in place but we were asked to order a main course before we could have the wine. So back outside again to... More
