Excellent!

I am currently in a wheelchair, albeit temporarily and this has made my visits to cafes a whole new experience. I was a little worried that it might be difficult to access the Hambone in my chair but couldn't have been more wrong! Staff saw us coming in and moved a chair for us so I could get in... read more

Had a fabulous lunch with my wife, I went for the Club Sandwich with ham and a duck egg served with thin fries, what a combination. superb. My wife went for the Roast Beef and Brie Toastie with beetroot relish her words not mine. Gorgeous. The service was excellent with friendly pleasant staff.

Called in for lunch , it was hard to choose as so much on the menu that all sounded delicious , love the fact you can order extra ingredients like stuffing, I was in my element. My husband ordered a fish and chip roll , which was actually hand made fish strips with yummy fat chips and a bap. My... More

Excellent choice of lunchtime fare on both days we spent in the town. The brie and plum chutney pannini was to die for! If we had stayed longer we would have gone to the Brasserie having met the owner and learnt all about how the shop and restaurant had been started. Definitely worth a visit!

Four of us had lunch at Hambone, a reasonably modern sort of place, having had a decent cup of coffee and rather good scone there previously. Club sandwiches and duck wrap were good. Chips not to Mrs Lowe's taste but staff very pleasant. Wine and beer available. Recommended.

We were having difficulty finding somewhere to eat as I'm on a diet and did not want the usual fried stuff. We saw The Hambone did salads so decided to give it a try, it also looked spotless and inviting. The staff greeting us were very apologetic as they were just closing, it was around 6ish. However, when I explained... More

We couldn't decide where to eat in the area, so we walked into here and had a very warm welcome from the waitress, even tho it was nearly closing time they were not in a rush to get us out like some places. The waitress (Kaisha) come to our table and took our order, they had sold out of one... More

We popped in on the off chance and were very pleasantly surprised at the menu and the great service we received .Really great range on offer - the best fish my husband had tasted in a long time and my duck wrap was fab.You should try it if you get the chance.

The fish and chips was delicious. My colleague had a lovely sandwich with a Middle Eastern touch to it -- that was even better. We sat outside this time. The last time I was here at the end of January and the food and service was good too. The Ham Bone Deli Bakery has a nice atmosphere inside - a... More

As a connoisseur of the British National Dish (and with a waistline to prove it) I would rate the Hambone Brasserie's fish and chips as being awarded a Grade A in GCSE Fish Frying. The fish of the day was hake and was clearly fresh and not frozen. Chips were excellent, mushy peas had mint added and the tartare sauce... More
