I was in Llandudno for just one night and stumbled across La Taverna whilst looking for a different Italian but I'm glad I did! The service was friendly and very fast and the menu was extensive plus a long drinks list (although Im not sure I'd fancy Sambuca as an after dinner drink?!). I ordered a Romana pizza which was... When you arrive at this little gem, ignore the crates of empties in the corner of the front courtyard, ignore also the hideous gargoyles on the gate posts. Enter this warm and friendly restaurant (actually a bit too warm), enjoy the warm and friendly service, and the excellent food. A tip here, if there are 2 of you, and you... More

Friendly staff and great food. I had probably the largest steak I've ever been served in a restaurant. The meat was cooked blue as requested and accompanying sauce and vegetables were delicious. My husband had a pasta dish, and said it was obe of the nicest he'd ever had. We tried to book in for 2 days later, but unfortunately... More

I was looking for a fairly light dinner and had a delicious cabbage soup flavoured with ham, followed by a pizza. Both were first rate and the olive oil was of very high quality. Service was excellent as was the ambience. I always judge a restaurant by its house wine which shows the pride a padrone takes and would suggest... More

We were staying around the corner at the Lauriston Court and Carol-Lynn recommended La Taverna. I'm so glad she did, the food was fabulous. The service was outstanding and it was good value for money. I love Italian food and can happily say that this was one of the best Italian restaurants I have ever been to.

This place never disappoints, the food is always good with plenty to choose from, not over priced like som of the other Italian restaurants in the area & it serves Pizza (I know of a local Italian restaurant that doesn't!!) Make sure you book a table as it's very popular!! Steak is always to die for as are the pasta... More

Great food, I had aubergine parmigarna to start , just right with the Parmesan gratinated perfectly and the aubergine al dente, to follow a succulent fillet steak in a really rich red wine sauce with wild ceps, service was excellent , the staff really knowledgable , the only missing was a selection of aperitifs , prehaps though these days most... Ate here twice on a week's holiday, and we should have made it three times! Excellent menu choices, with a wide price range. Quality pizza and pasta, a la carte pork medallions were gorgeous. Home made tiramisu rounded off two great evenings. Difficult to find - check it out during the day, and make sure you book.

Having booked a table the night before we arrive and have to wait 25minutes to be seated approx 1ft away from our neighbours either side so if you go expecting a romantic atmosphere I would think again Warning bells rang when hot starters were delivered to the table within 3mins of ordering and the same for mains once starters cleared!!...
